why is it that the Bible alone people are the rudest here?

Omega lists this
Le
as tho that were a book in the Bible...
But whatever it is
its NOT in the Bible
i have read the entire Bible and there is NOTHING like that there
please, everyone, do not accept what some say is Scirpture without checking it out yourselves...
the Douay Rheims Bible is probably the most accurate of them all, although others are good too... Personally i dont care for the Good News Bible, which, from what i can tell, changes the Word around...

They think that OSAS means there is no reason to try. Plus they would rather err on the side of "being meaner than God" than err on the side of "being nicer than God".

so true
that term Nicer than God is interesting
reminds me of Nancy Pelosi
Kathleen Sebellius
they would be nicer than God by allowing women to kill their children (abortion)
and by forcing Catholics and other Christians who dont believe in such
but it is NOT impossible to stay far from mortal sin
esp if one is Catholic
the RCC has the means to destroy the works of the devil.
You walked right into it with your "esp if one is a Catholic" rhetoric. Tell the part I highlighted to the Catholic Priests who molest children. And tell that to their leaders who cover up their sin for thier cover up would also be a "mortal" sin.

Why?
Do you need to feel there is some other reward at the end of the rainbow to do the right thing?
I think doing the right thing is its own reward.

I am not sure how you arrive at that conclusion. Can you explain that in more detail?
I don't need it to be either way. It is a question that is moot to me. Because whether or not OSAS is true I would still choose understanding over the alternative.

No you don't. You feel that salvation is the reward. The scripture says it's a free gift.

No you don't. You think that salvation is the reward. And yes I think doing the right thing is its own reward. I was saying that if salvation is the reward my efforts are futile because I could never earn life. So why bother because God requires nothing less than perfection if it is up to me.

No, you are wrong. Please stop lying about me. You are not so wile. I gave you no reason to make such a claim. You on the other hand expressed that you would not try if you did not know you had salvation. You are being evasive and deceitful. You may be able to fool yourself, but I am not so gullible. You are obviously defensive because your little ruse has been uncovered.

I'm confused. Do you confess or deny OSAS?

You have a reading comprehension problem. I said that if salvation is my motivation I would not try because I know I am condemned.
I did NOT say that I did not know I had salvation. I said that if salvation is the reward of my efforts I know that I do not have salvation.

If I offend in one point I am guilty of the WHOLE law and am condemned. Happiness is my motivation. If I continue in sin I am promised misery but not condemnation. Because I am saved I cannot be condemned.
