Slogan/motto:
"A day is as a thousand years" is about perspective. Two hours on the highway, to a five year old, seems like an eternity! To a 50 year old trucker, it's just the start of a good morning

We have too much government. Most of the time, when something goes wrong, it's either because the government is interfering where it shouldn't, or it's protecting some influential person who's abusing others.
That being said, the OP was...
What would it be like without the government?
Let's take a look...
There's this, if you want to be hunter-gatherers:
They seem to be about as happy as, and a bit more peaceful than we are.
Or, if you want to live in a society with houses and settled ways of life, there's this:
Somalia. Those are the choices.

What we now think of as street gangs and organized crime would quickly become "the government".
This is the problem. As soon as you get above a certain level of population, and people settle down to live in homes, government appears. If people don't make a government, someone will step in and impose one.
Or perhaps, a number of wannabee governments will start a cycle of warfare to find the last survivor.
Sooooo, you think hanging a child is barbaric but the death penalty for children isn't?
You're a loon....
No but its a good compromise. I dont care really how the execution is carryed out so long as they are never released into society for as long as they live. The problem with life sentences for these people is it costs astronomical amounts of money, on the flip side a life sentence can give someone an opprotunity to know Jesus, not that I think they should ever be released but at least then their punishment will only be temporal.
If the legalized mild drugs like pot and pure powdered coke they could free up alot of jail space from the users and dealers of thoes substances. Also if they stopped jailing people for debts owed we would not have an over crowding problem.
Only jail the thieves, murderers, pedophiles, etc.

I'm sorry dude, but 'executing' children is barbaric full stop no matter what the method.

That looks like an episode of horarders buried alive. Seriously people choose to live like that, mexicans are poor and some of them live very clean.
I was told this is where the mormon church determines the age of accountability, while I agree with very little the mormon church believes, I do believe age 8 makes sense, at age 8 they know what they are doing is right or wrong and should be held accountable from throwing something in class to committing murder they should not be immune from prosecution by either going to the pricipals office to being put away for life.
