I live in Missouri. I think Obama may take Missouri, many around here wanted Santorum and have zero respect for Romney as he is an abortion profiteer. I see Obama stickers all over the place. I honestly have seen ZERO Mitt stickers or any kind of ground game here.
The Law is law and the sore losers / sour grapes crowd should accept their crushing defeat.
It was hardly a crushing defeat maybe some sour grapes for some but, more than that it was an of an upholding of the Constitution as it relates to the commerce clause. Taxation is allowed by the Federal Government but, mandates or being forced to purchase something is not. This bill can be starved by the politicians from the get go because it is a tax, thereby there is no obligation to support this act from administration to administration or congress to congress. You should understand that Roberts decision though unpleasant now (or pleasant to you) has set the precedent of what the Federal Governments powers are and are not. Obamacare has a bigger target on it now and is more vulnerable than it was at it's inception. Feel free to read the ramifications of the Supreme Court's decision in this article, I think you find this decision is more of a curse in your case, and a win for the Constitution, citizenry, and liberty.
Not really, if my plan is better than yours (so-called cadillac plan) I get penalized. Now how is that fair?
My goodness, I never saw it that way before, you are right that is not fair.
Neither is the example your Lord gave you to follow
Luke 10:33-35
a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion, and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.’
Luke 12:48
...From everyone who has been given much, much will be required

"All societies of men must be governed in some way or other... Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, or by a power without them; either by the Word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet."
Slogan/motto:
"A day is as a thousand years" is about perspective. Two hours on the highway, to a five year old, seems like an eternity! To a 50 year old trucker, it's just the start of a good morning
My parents told me never click the links of people I don't know.
So, you will have to more clearly make your point.
It was sarcasm.
Did your parents teach you not to support a baby murdering/sodomite loving Kenyan that embraces Marxism?

Forcing people to work off their hospital bill, would be personal responsibility. Somebody has to empty the bedpans!
Some of the uninsured are young adults ages 19 to 25 and low-income families with an annual household income of less than $25,000.
Much of the declines in the insured can be attributed to the loss of employer-provided coverage, which fell amid sustained unemployment and as employers continued to cut back on benefits.
The percentage of people who had health insurance through their employers fell to 55.3% in 2010 from...64.1% of the population in 2000.
Some employers have stopped offering health insurance, while others are passing along more of the cost to their employees, said Gould. As a result, some workers are abandoning their employer's plans because the premiums have become too expensive, she said.
The average health insurance premium for family coverage has more than doubled over the past decade to $13,770 a year, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, a non-profit which focuses on health care policy and issues.
With fewer Americans receiving health care coverage through their employers, government-funded programs like Medicare, Medicaid, military health care, the Children's Health Care Program (CHIPS) and coverage offered by various states have had to pick up the slack.
In 2010, 31% of Americans relied on the government for health insurance, up from 24.2% in 1999.
Adults without dependent children, however, are not eligible for Medicaid in most states under federal rules, said Rachel Garfield, a senior researcher on the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured. It's this group that accounts for a large portion of the increase in the uninsured.
Nearly one-in-four working-age adults are uninsured, said Gould. She said it won't be until 2014, when Obama's Affordable Care Act fully kicks in, that more people will be able to find affordable health care coverage.
Obamacare has a bigger target on it now and is more vulnerable than it was at it's inception.
More Good news For Obamacare
Rob McKenna, Washington State's right-wing Attorney-General and now Republican Gubernatorial candidate, joined the lawsuit against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("PPCA").
Now, after the Supreme Court sent him and his right-wing fellow travelers packing, McKenna has decided that he accepts our new health care system and suggests, get this, do an even better job of implementing it than his Democratic opponent. He is even going to work with the legislature to determine how to implement the expanded coverage under Medicaid for the working poor. Sure, he will.
Now, what a different tune is played by him. It is obviously, as FDR put it, "a tune played against a sounding board of election day. It is a tune with overtones that whispers -- votes, votes, votes".
He is, to my knowledge, the first major defector from the radical right. After his defection, especially high-profile because he actually sued to have the law invalidated…
Here is what McKenna says now about the individual mandate: "it should stand, for now, because it's so tied to key features in the law, such as coverage of pre-existing conditions."
From still another side of his mouth, McKenna says that we erred in passing "such a big bill without bipartisan support." But, the truth need be told: The law was hatched in the Heritage Foundation, a Republican think-tank, and first enacted by Mitt Romney, a Republican Governor. How do Democrats show more bipartisanship than by enacting the other side's law?

I already pay taxes for the poor and medically indigent, I also give to various charities can you say as much. Your misuse of scripture does not move me, in fact it shows your ignorance of Gods entire word, Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors possessions we can keep going. Giving freely and having something taken from you are two entirely different things, I do not share your enthusiasm for socialism or socialized medicine. If you want better than you have I suggest you and others pay for it yourself, instead of looking to society to bear your burdens for you.

You might want to wait for a response until I am online BB123, if I am not logged on a PM won't help much either, just sayin...unlike yourself I do not stay logged in 24/7. Maybe if you spent as much time working as you do pontificating on what society owes you on TOL, maybe you could afford to pay for your own healthcare instead of leaching off society to obtain it.
P.S. I may not check this thread again until tomorrow...
