Tax the wealthy appropriately according to their income and the difficulty of the times we currently live in since trickle down economics does not work and H.W. Bush was right when he called it voodoo economics.

20,000 workers recently applied for just 877 jobs at a Hyundai plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
The amount that has been added to the U.S. national debt since the Republicans took control of the U.S. House of Representatives - $1,600,000,000,000. This is more than the first 97 Congresses added to the national debt combined.

The president can sink Romney by trumpeting the details of the ludicrous economic solutions he’s been backing. How Mitt would turn America into one big Pottersville.

If your house (i.e., the economy) has been burnt down by an arsonist (i.e., Wall Street and George W. Bush), you can’t expect a contractor (i.e., President Obama) to build it overnight, especially when you’re not giving the contractor enough tools and time (i.e., stimulus funds) to do the job – and definitely not if you allow pyromaniacs armed with flame-throwers (i.e., the Republicans) onto the property.

But the jobs created at the Bain connected Staples were created after Romney left Bain (although Romney has claimed credit for those jobs and wants us to view those jobs as his qualification for becoming president).
On the other hand Obama has attacked Romney for Bain connected companies that went bankrupt, had their pensions raided and their jobs shipped overseas after 1999 and Romney has called Obama a liar for pinning those post 1999 bad outcomes on him.
Now SEC documents have been uncovered that name Romney as Owner, CEO and president of Bain in 2001 and 2002.
Plus, it has been recently made known that Romney’s company in 1998 was connected with a Chinese company that specialized in taking over jobs outsourced from America. It just gets better and better after each new revelation.
Now Romney wants people to believe that he will protect us from China's unfair trade practices.
Clearly Mitt Romney isn't telling the truth about when he left Bain Capital. It’s clear he's either lying to the American People or lied to the SEC
These latest twists in the Bain narrative look like vindication for Democrat Shannon O'Brien, who lost to Romney in the 2002 governor's race. The former state treasurer had made Romney's role in Bain an issue in the campaign. But at the time, Romney deflected her attacks by denying any involvement in the firm once he joined the Olympic planning effort in Utah, much as he is doing today, with less success.
"Ten years ago, when I ran against Mitt Romney for Governor, my campaign was attacked for misstating the truth about Romney's tenure at Bain Capital. Massachusetts voters were told that Romney was absolutely not the leader of Bain at a time when bankruptcies and layoffs were devastating workers at companies in their portfolio," O'Brien told HuffPost in an email. "Recent news stories now present clear evidence that Mitt Romney didn’t tell the truth to Massachusetts when he ran for Governor in 2002 and he's not telling the truth to the American people today." O'Brien continued, pushing for the presumptive GOP presidential nominee to release his tax returns and settle issues over his finances now.
"I released my tax returns when I ran for Governor in 2002, and encouraged Mitt Romney to do so as well, but he refused to comply," she wrote. "He should follow the inspiration of his father, George Romney, and other presidential candidates and release 12 years of tax returns so that the American voters have a chance to learn more about the background and ethics of the man who wants to be their president."
At this point if Obama would release 12 years of tax returns like George Romney then Mitt Romney would be toast. A good time for the President to release those returns would be the day after the RNC convention to combat the RNC convention bump.

Romney’s Plan
Mitt Romney has a 57 page plan for the economy. His plan actually gets outlined starting on Page 37. The previous 36 pages are the usual fear mongering: "Obama is the devil and we are on a road to ruin" sort of stuff.
Romney Plan for Individual Taxes, Page 37 (and how will it affect you, me and Mitt?)
• Maintain marginal rates at current levels (real good for Mitt, keeps him at a sub 15% tax rate)
• Further reduce taxes on savings and investment (do you have savings and investment? I have some in my 401k, but that is already tax deferred. Mitt has a lot of investments, some of them parked overseas and waiting for more favorable rules to repatriot them to the US. Big benefit for Mitt)
• Eliminate the death tax (are you passing more than $5 million on to your heirs? I'm not, so my estate is already tax free. Mitt wants to pass down $250 million or so to his heirs. Very big win for Mitt, and his kids!)
• Long-term goal: pursue a flatter, fairer, simpler structure (every analysis of a flat tax structure shows the rich benefit more than the poor. Another win for Mitt, especially if he gets to define "fair")
Are you getting the picture? There is nothing in his plan that benefits you or me more than it benefits him.
Romney said he left Bain in 1999 before the "bad" things happened.
Here are two SEC filings from July 2000 and February 2001 in which Romney lists his “principal occupation” as “Managing Director of Bain Capital, Inc.”
