. . . and The RestDiscuss just about anything besides Politics and Religion! Discuss sports, pop culture, computers, videogames, welcome new members, wish someone a happy birthday. Or just chit chat!
Maybe together we can make this the most biggest, most viewedest, most posted on thread on TOL!! That'd be something!*
But I'll sort of do my best to shut it off at around 20 posts, so there's probably no chance of that happening. I'll try to pay attention. I might miss the cutoff by 1, 5, 10, 20, 8500 or a few.
So share your least or your best or your least!! Recipes, lies about yourself, real or fake stories, meaningful or meaningless reminisces, grandiose schemes, your age or height (true or lie), more or maybe less! Keep it coming, or not!! No matter!! And remember: Meaning has no meaning here!!**

One of my 10th or so memories was out at sea, in Massachusetts, on a shrimp boat. I was just a kid. The boat was swaying and rocking around a lot. I was scared. The coast seemed a long way off. Grey boat. Peeling paint. It smelled like dead fish. Everyone was laughing and yelling. I think they were probably all drunk. I'll never forget that. I think someone caught a big fish. A cod, or maybe a tuna.

But there's no way of knowing what sorts of rewards future posts may hold.
*Not actually a gazillion dollars, or any dollars.

I have been told, and I accept the honor, that I make the best molasses cookies in the world!
I've shared my recipe many times but they say it cannot be the same recipe because their cookies just don't turn out the same.
Also, my cherry cream pie is regularly requested by my grandchildren for their birthday celebrations.

I'm inclined to believe it. You've never given me any reason to doubt you. But there's really no way of knowing unless you share them with us.
I can provide you an address.

Four words: Cherry cream pie yum.

One day I went to school, I think first grade. I'd been having fun the night before with my parents, and I wound up (as happens) with a big curly mustache drawn in marker on my face. Apparently, when I headed out for the school bus in the morning, my mom didn't realize that I was completely unaware that I still had a big curly mustache drawn in marker on my face. That was a long, bad day.

Well I guess if I had better timing, it would have been perfect.
That same year, I went to school with a bunch of flowers for the first girlfriend I thought I ever had.
Also, I wore my dad's khaki epauletted short-sleeved shirt as a trench coat because I thought it was very suave... I thought detectives were very cool (of course), and I thought detectives wore trench coats (of course), and I thought my dad's short-sleeved shirt fit as a good trench coat on me (it was mostly about the epaulettes, but also about the khaki). I can't imagine what my parents thought sending me out like that... Love and laugh.

THREAD ABOUT NOTHING
Now this has to be something, a thread about nothing.
Share my best and worst, sounds like the best of the worst and the worst of the best.
All my recipes are a mix that come out of cans.
I thought about telling whopper but I realized that is candy.
Then there are my Navy days to say I never sailed, real or fake?
Reminiscing means I would grow nostalgic and that is meaningless, more or less.
Grandiose scheme, that would be telling now wouldn't it.
My age? I'm a great grandfather, enough said.
My height? If my height equaled my weight, I'd be 6' 2", maybe.
Meaning of meaningless is the meaning of meaning more or less.

.....To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. Psalm 25:1
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~ Leo Buscaglia

I once won a sherry drinking competition in Nebraska, possibly aided somewhat by being the sole participant and the venue being my own house with no guests allowed.
Oddly enough the prize was a bottle of Chardonnay....
