Hi to all , it is obvious that I am against Purgatory .
Heb 1:3 , " when He had by Himself PURGED ours SINS ."
We do not need to pay or pray for any one in an IMAGINARY place called PURGATORY .
After Christ PURGED OUR SINS , He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high .

What they call "Purgatory" is just the grave, or in Jesus' case, it was the Tomb / Grave. It is also called the "Pit", and the "Bottomless Pit" is the Grave of Hell, where there is no bottom, and where the worm never dies; (( Parable ))!!!! The "bottomless" is really referring to the Truth that those who are there cannot ( SEE ) anything beyond themselves. - It is filled with Truth / the Flames of God, that they refused to see. They are Baptized in the Flames of Truth, not the Waters of Truth. --- That is the eternal flood that is spoken of in the end!!
Paul -- 071112
---Gal. 4:16.
---"Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth"???

Good post Dan, there is no Purgatory. That is something the early church threw in to make money from loved ones.
Psalm 1[/color] and Job 28:28
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Joh 4:23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

On the historic Christian doctrine of purgatory, see here and here.

Cruciform's Article says that one soul Enjoys Rest and another Suffering.
So, the Judgement is Circumvented by Perogie-tory.
I think that we will have to get Mary to make a Judgement on this one.
"During the time, moreover, which intervenes between a man's death and the final resurrection, the soul dwells in a hidden retreat, where it enjoys rest or suffers affliction just in proportion to the merit it has earned by the life which it led on earth." Augustine, Enchiridion, 1099 (A.D. 421).

PS. Dan, I am still waiting for those OSAS verses.

If you ever manage to come up with an actual argument, let me know, hmm?...
