I am come into this world…that they which see might be made blind. - July 23rd, 2012, 05:52 AM

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

One wonders whom and how Jesus made blind.

Those with the mark of Cain, the tares in the church...those who follow tradition and orthodoxy rather than the Holy Spirit.

Peace, Ted

Wheat are NOT reborn tares !!!

Matt 13:36-43
good seed are sown by the Son of man
tares are of the wicked one 39 sown by the devil and, as per
Matthew 15:13 …Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up!

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Does it mean that Christians don't need the Bible?

Let’s see.

Jesus always spoke to the Jews in parables (except of the disciples) so they wouldn't understand.

They would understand if they remembered the prophets.

Question is, what happens to Christians who don't know the prophets and read the same parables?

Aren't they blinded to?

"And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind."-John 9:39 KJV

"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."-Luke 15:17 KJV

Some need no repentance? No, that contradicts the book. The Jew, and their national pride, self righteousness, thought of themselves as: "art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness," per Romans 2:19. And yet, the Lord Jesus Christ indicted them, the Pharisees, and scribes, as being "blind guides...fools and blind..."(Mt. 23:16 KJV, 19, 24 KJV), and survey Romans 2:28-29 KJV.

Those which "see" in John 9:39 KJV are the ones who boast that "we see." No one who actually could "see" was ever made blind; however, all men were, by nature, like the man born blind, the key difference being not in blindness, but in recognition of their need. The attitude of the Pharisees, the scribes here is the point the Lord Jesus Christ was emphasizing. They were attempting to obtain the truth of this miracle in John of the blind man. But they "beat up" the man who was the recipient of the miracle, and their words...

"They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out."-John 9:34 KJV

...was their self righteous claim that they could see, they being a "mini picture" reflecting the state and mindset of the nation.

Correct.

So what you say about the parables?

Do you know the Father the only one true God from the OT or just got blinded to?

"Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people" (Ezekiel 12:2).

There are many people that even though the truth is right in front of them refuse to accept it because of their own sinful selfish wants.

Yes. Their spiritual 'constitutions' are such they cannot receive it.
