Preparing for the NFL Preseason -
August 1st, 2012, 06:57 PM
Hey football fans..almost that time again. We've got a Hall of Fame Game coming up soon, and the first preseason games will start on August the 9th.
Redskins at Bills
Ravens at Falcons
Saints at Patriots
Steelers at Eagles
Packers at Chargers
Broncos at Bears
I usually don't get too excited about the preseason, but I'm jonesin for some football. I'm most interested in the Steelers verses the Eagles, and of course to see how Peyton Manning will do against the Bears.
So, what are your thoughts on the upcoming season? What are your predictions, comments, etc.
I love Peyton Manning and think he's great...but don't expect him to last a season. The Saints are toast....I think.... and I'm interested to see if the Eagles will be any better this year.
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.
I cannot wait to see what the Falcons working with ! I will predict they win the South this Year !

I think one really outstanding player on a team can make a big difference. Cam Newton really helped the Panthers...and should inspire them to do even better this year.
I think RGIII is going to help the Redskins alot this year and should be fun to watch....especially in the second half of the season. I don't think the Skins will make the playoffs.
The Giants were crazy last year. They looked terrible at the beginning of the season but just kept getting better until they peaked at the end and went on to win the title.
The Packers were on fire all year long and then peetered out right at the end.
So, I have no idea what's going to happen with them this year. The Pack has made some improvements on defense, and they still have Rodgers so I think they'll be good again. I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants don't even make the playoffs this year.

I hope so, He is the Truth if he can come even close to the season he had as a rookie, but I am pulling for him except against his hometown team !

I hear you. I think your team is safe for now though. I'm favoring the Falcons to win the division this year. I don't think that Cam Newton alone is going to get the Panthers past the Falcons. Your team is looking for their first playoff win again this year. I think that's their goal. Matt Ryan said he put on about 15-20 lbs. of muscle I think it was in the offseason. He's hoping this will help him down the stretch.
I don't know what else they've done in terms of acquisitions; but I know that they're hoping to be in it again. And with the Saints in their scandal and without their head coach for the year; I think that's going to set them back. It'll be fun to watch...for sure.

I think he'll be fine (although I'm already sick of the close ups of him getting up after a hit, and he hasn't taken a snap yet). That said the Broncos look like a 10-6 wildcard first round exit time to me. He'll exceed expectations. He almost always does.
