Calvinism Opposes the Gospel and is anti-Christ - August 6th, 2012, 03:43 PM

Calvinism is a false religion that is unscriptural and is in opposition to the "Historical Gospel" of Jesus Christ.

The resounding message of the New Testament is that "Jesus is Lord." He is Lord because he has defeated sin, death and the devil and has triumphed over all the evils of the whole world, Colossians 2:15.

Proof of this is that Jesus Christ sits in heaven at the right hand of God (a place of honor and respect) victorious over all things, Hebrews 7:26.

"Far above all principalities and powers, and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but in the world to come. And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church," Ephesians 1:21, 22.

Jesus Christ by his mighty works has reconciled a world of lost sinners unto God.

"And all things are of God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ. To wit that God was in Christ, reconciling the WORLD unto himself, NOT imputing their trespasses unto them." 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19.

God sees all of humanity in his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the new humanity and the new creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17. The old have passed away and the new has arrived in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has put the old sinful Adamic race to death in himself, Romans 6:6. And has brought forth a new humanity in the resurrection, Romans 6:5.

"God has exalted Jesus and has given him a name above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow of things in heaven and on the earth and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father," Philippians 2:9, 10, 11.

Does this sound like Jesus is going to share the universe with Satan because he didn't atone for all of the sins of humanity, only some? Does this sound like Jesus failed to provide salvation for all of humanity, only some?

If you are going to believe Calvinism you must believe that Jesus Christ is a failure. If you are going to believe Calvinism you must believe that God is a ruthless, heartless, tyrant that condemns billions to hell for no reason. If you are going to believe Calvinism you might just as well throw your Bible in the trash. There is no scripture anywhere in the Bible that says God has predestinated anyone to heaven or to hell.

Tulip Truth is the Gospel, a Large, Important, and Essential part, if we reject those Truths, we Reject the Gospel of God's Grace.

Rom 2:28-29

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Calvin didn't believe Calvinism as some currently taught.

John Calvin Witnesses For "UNLIMITED ATONEMENT" In His Last Will, And Farewells

Calvin's "LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, April 25, 1564" as printed in the History of the Christian Church, Vol. 8, pp. 828-29, by Philip Schaff [as published by Eerdmans in Grand Rapids, 1972], states: "I testify also and declare, that I suppliantly beg of Him, that He may be pleased so to was and purify me in the blood which my Sovereign Redeemer HAS SHED FOR THE SINS OF THE HUMAN RACE, that under His shadow I may be able to stand at the judgment-seat...."(op. cit., p 829). Here is a clear testimony made by John Calvin who was about to die, in 1564, that He, at least at the end of his life, had come to believe most definitely that the Lord Jesus Christ "SHED" his precious "BLOOD" "FOR THE SINS OF THE HUMAN RACE "

John Calvin Witnesses for "UNLIMITED ATONEMENT" In His Commentary On Romans 5:18:

Romans 5:18 states in English (KJV): Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (Romans 5:18) Calvin's comment on Romans 5:18, as translated and published in the COMMENTARY ON ROMANS AND THESSALONIANS, 1973, pp. 117-18 [as published by Eerdmans in Grand Rapids] was: "Paul makes grace COMMON TO ALL MEN, not because it in fact EXTENDS TO ALL, but because IT IS OFFERED TO ALL. Although CHRIST SUFFERED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD. AND IS OFFERED BY THE GOODNESS OF GOD WITHOUT DISTINCTION TO ALL MEN, yet not all receive him (op. cit., p. 829). If indeed Christ "SUFFERED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD," John Calvin was himself (at least at the time of his writing this Commentary on Romans) a confirmed believer, as is the BIBLE FOR TODAY, in an "UNLIMITED ATONEMENT" of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Ain't faith grand?

Peace, Ted

Wheat are NOT reborn tares !!!

Matt 13:36-43

tares are of the wicked one 39 sown by the devil and, as per
Matthew 15:13 …Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up!

Translated: Assert, pound the podium, declare "victory," return to "I must be 'elect,' because my lifestyle tells me so, as that is the only way to know whether I am am 'elect,' or not, as being the Calvinist I am, I cannot rely on the book's testimony re. eternal security, or my Calvinism/Clavinism is picked apart" echo chamber.

Lovely.

Maybe he repented on his death bed, many do before they die. Just before death the reality of the judgment has caused many to repent of their false doctrines and unbelief.

I was taught that God's grace is offered to all but only applied to those who believe. Do we say that we are in charge? No... and no one that I know of who is saved has not recognized the Grace of God leading them to the point of belief.
