Sticking God in a Box

Praise God, My Sins Are Gone!

You ask me why I'm happy
So I'll just tell you why
Because my sins are gone,
And when I meet the scoffers
Who ask me where they are
I say, my sins are gone.

'Twas at the old-time altar
Where God came in my heart
And now my sins are gone,
The Lord took full possession
The devil did depart
I'm glad my sins are gone.

When Satan comes to tempt me
And tries to make me doubt
I say, my sins are gone,
You got me into trouble
But Jesus got me out
I'm glad my sins are gone.

I'm living now for Jesus
I'm happy night and day
Because my sins are gone,
My soul is filled with music
With all my heart I say
I know my sins are gone

They're underneath the Blood
On the Cross of Calvary
As far removed as darkness is from dawn,
In the sea of God's forgetfulness
That's good enough for me
Praise God, my sins are gone!

.....O LORD my God, in You I put my trust. Psalm 7:1
.....To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
Psalm 25:1

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~ Leo Buscaglia

Well.

Nice lyrics are only good when they do not contradict God's word by pagan fables.

How about this one...

He Himself bore our sins in His body…
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness.

1 Peter 2:24

I Remember When My Burden Rolled Away

I remember when my burdens rolled away;
I had carried them for years, night and day.
When I sought the blessed Lord,
And I took Him at His word,
Then at once all my burdens rolled away.

I remember when my burdens rolled away;
That I feared would never leave, night or day.
Jesus showed to me the loss,
So I left them at the cross;
I was glad when my burdens rolled away.

I remember when my burdens rolled away,
That had hindered me for years, night and day.
As I sought the throne of grace,
Just a glimpse of Jesus' face,
And I knew that my burdens could not stay.

I am singing since my burdens rolled away;
There's a song within my heart night and day.
I am living for my King,
And with joy I shout and sing:
"Hallelujah, all my burdens rolled away!"

Rolled away, rolled away,
I am happy since my burdens rolled away.
Rolled away, rolled away,
I am happy since my burdens rolled away.

.....O LORD my God, in You I put my trust. Psalm 7:1
.....To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
Psalm 25:1

Here's another good one...

I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.
Revelation 3:20

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart!
I have light in my soul for which long I had sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And my sins, which were many, are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

I'm possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

There's a light in the valley of death now for me,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And the gates of the City beyond I can see,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And I'm happy, so happy, as onward I go,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o’er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

.....To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

Jerzy...Yes you did, you repeated your verse quote, that's fine.

However the, "Nice lyrics are only good when they do not contradict God's word by pagan fables." You leave it at that, not making a statement and explaining or clarifying what you mean.

That's why you got, "What is your point."

That sort of response is right up their with the likes of Letsargue, Shelli, and few others I'm sure, who seldom or never respond with an answer, especially Letsargue, Letsargue who is like a record player needle stuck in a grove with over and over and over.....with "prove it" or "prove me wrong" and when somebody does respond with proof with Letsargue it's the same old answer from Letsargue of prove it or prove me wrong.

You should be able to do better than that and rise the to level of giving an explanation or answer of what your point is, not just state something and walk away from it. Most of us here at TOL are not mind readers.

I quoted from God's word.

Do you need me to tell you what God said?

OK.

This is God's word:

Jam 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jam 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

God says that we are tempted by our own lust.

Therefore, you are lying that a fallen angel Satan tempts us.
