well, if one u/stands blahsphemy of the HS to mean saying something against the HS... we may ALL be damned. I mean, we are all, at one time, YOUNG.

i rest my case... sorta

As usual, we need a CHURCH to interpret the Word 4 us

we are guilty of this unforgivable sin only when we commit it in an eternal way...

meaning we reject the HS for good and always-even @ death... refuse to accept CHRIST (his forgiveness).

we will then take our sins with us to that place of anguish

where sin is never separated from the soul...

Blasphemy of the Spirit is rejection of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

And rejection of Christ is rejection of forgiveness, so the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is never forgiven.

Daniel
a person can reject Christ when young and ignorant

and accept him later... so u are not exactly correct..

it is rejecting Christ for good and always that is unforgivable in the next life (Purgatory)

Mt 12:32

it would be possible 4 a person to accept that Jesus is who he says he is

and yet to reject the forgiveness and expiation offered by Christ...

so it is the refusalbe to be forgiven/expiated that is unforgivable in the next age

St Mt 12:32

I am exactly correct, you just aren't exactly understanding my exact words.

But I think we agree.

People today, especially secular thinkers, would better understand this when they realize that jesus was saying blaspheme of the Truth is not ever forgiven.

Jesus had said, "I am the Truth, the way, and the life,"...

He was arguing withthe politically correct misinformation of his own day which did not recognize him and accept the Truth which he was preaching to them.

But even without the gospel story, no one today can actually argue against this idea, that to blaspheme the Truth, or essential promote lies and propaganda will never be forgiven by people once the consequences come home to roost.

i dont know what u r saying

that they are NOT forgiven or they ARE?

the only unforgivable sin is to reject Christ's forgiveness... expiation (which also happens in Purgatory if not completed on Earth)

Hi , and Israel were given mant opportunies for Repent , as Acts 7:51-53 , is an INDICTMENT against that Nation , by Resisting the Holy Spirit .

This Happened ONLY one time and it will never happen again , TODAY !!

Heb 6:6 , comes into play for Israel , If they shall fall away , to renew them again unto repentance , seeing they CRUCIFY to themselves the Son of God , and put Him to an OPEN SHAME !!

There is a Near View and a FAR VIEW of Heb 6:6 as the Near View happened in Jesus time and the FAR VIEW will happen during the Great Tribulation .

All , believers have been FORGIVEN ALL TRESPASSES as Col 2:13 reveals , so no PURGATORY is involved , because there PURGATORY is not in the bible !!

Jesus saves completely. A9D-EL

For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped

Just what we need. Another Catholic thread.
