Because they see Obama doing a lot of the same things your church does.

Because they are not blind, "one issue", citizens. They were offered a choice between an honest, intellegent, well meaning man trying to the best for the majority of Americans, and a liar who will say what ever he thinks his audience wants to hear. Romney clearly showed himself to be a self serving rich man who at bottom dispised the ordinary American working people. American Catholics voted against Romney because they knew he could not be trusted.

you wouldnt see it as one issue if YOUR life was suddenly on the line, if it were made legal to kill YOU,

but you don't care if you are selfish

because u r selfish and that is what selfish people do... dont care... about much of anything but Numero Uno

how is this for multiple issues

the issue of freedom of speech

to bear arms

to practice whatever religion u want

all those are lost

when one DIES

(is murdered)

some single issue....

and they think he CAN do something about poor people... right... the poor in this country are SPOILED comparatively speaking...

also

they are wrong

since he can appoint Sup Ct justices

that could overturn Roe v Wade

It's going to be quite a race for this year's Anvil of Irony Award.

Consider getting over it. Moving on. You still might be able to avoid an aneurism.

I think TSF has a soft spot of Obama.

You know, the whole being mean because you like them kinda deal?

I'm guessing TSF would love to settle down and start a family with Obama judging by the way they go on about him.

Look, I've read ee cummings. I admire his work. You aren't ee cummings.

Anyway, the election is over. The Obama camp won. Find a new obsession and a new poet to copy badly. Maybe Whitman.

only the uneducated ones on Ignore have responded

thats because knowledgable people agree w/ me

another reason "catholics" voted for Obaminator

because they only CALL themselves Cahtolic

those who interview "Catholics" don't always find out just how catholic those polled really are...

i wish someone would poll those who attend DAILY Mass

then the % of those who voted AGAINST O

would probably be about 95% or so

(if not... things are worse in the Church than even i thought...)

The fact that the majority of Catholic voters in America support Obama is indicative of a much deeper "disconnect" that exists between the Church and its parishioners.

The Catholic Church can "shed crocodile tears" about the sanctity of human life all it wants, but in this world, actions speak louder than words.

The Church would have much more credibility with its followers, and the world at large, if it had made a serious attempt to protect the children under its care - rather than systematically shuffling known pedophiles within the clergy from parish to parish.

I find "TruthSetsFree's" attempt to use the Church to justify his personal attacks against Obama reprehensible.

It has always been an unlikely partnership to have the Catholics in bed with protestant evangelicals on social issues. In Europe, where there are many political parties, the Christian ones are virtually all social democrat ones. None are far right at all.

In the US, the Catholic Church, although against gay marriages, does not agree with the religeous right in the treatment of homosexuals, with the Catholic Catechism requiring that homosexuals ...
Quote:

No wonder that so many rejected Romney.

And from the point of view of a European voter, Obama would be a centre-right candidate. No-one there sees him as even a socialist, let alone a communist.
