Adam did what the wife told him to do when he already knew it was wrong. Adam rebelled by not taking his place in the headship.
Since you seem to be new at the Bible, as in new in study, take your time with the details. For example....
Genesis 3
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:
He lead his wife and all of humanity to a path of destruction. This is what Paul was talking about in Romans 5.
Romans 5
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin,.....15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died,....17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)....18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation
I myself didn't read the Bible for a long time. I also rebelled.
Sky, do you view rebelling as the same as disobeying?
Just wondering this is a torturous area for me and has been off and on for ahhh a long time,
Yes, I believe that disobeying the known commands of God is rebellion against God. When Satan entered the picture in the garden with Eve there was another force at work but when she presented the same idea to Adam he should have known by his conscience alone that he was going against a known command.

the problem with adam is the same problem with most men today
giving her what she wants
The original plan was for them to work together. You don't give your children whatever they want. That's not to say women are children but the headship should be stronger at the top. Submission isn't a form of control when used properly and applied as the Bible says. It is respect for all parties involved.
Adam didn't give Eve what she wanted. He just didn't take his position. I guess you could say that Adam should have went with Eve to the Lord or maybe stood before the Lord for her.
