Which is unbiblcal? Both. There is nothing in scripture about how to interpret scripture so, by definition, neither can be biblical. How, then, is one to understand what is in scripture? On their knees.

The implication of this thread: "CATHOLIC VS PROTESTANT BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION"-
What scripture do you Romans cite, to "prove" that us "unlearned and ignorant men"(Acts 4:13 KJV), are not to interpret scripture, and that this must be left to a bunch of "ecclesiastic" clowns, in clown outfits, known us papa/pope Frankie, in conjunction with "The Magisterium," to set us country bumpkins straight? Chapter, verse.

Given that your claim here rests entirely on the 16th-century Protestant assumption of sola scriptura---and since the notion of sola scriptura is itself completely unbiblical (and so directly refutes itself)---your claim here merely falls flat.Which is unbiblcal? Paul is here writing specifically to Timothy---a bishop of Christ's Church. Are you, then, a bishop? No? So much, then, for your (mis)application of the biblical text.2 Timothy 2:15 KJV - End Of Thread - EOT
None of that, however, actually engages with the content of the OP.Jesus said scripture cannot be broken. Anything contrary to what is written is not valid.

It is the Holy Spirit by means of the conciliar teachings of Christ's one historic Church. According to Jesus himself, the two are one and the same (Mt. 28:18-20; Lk. 10:16; Ac. 16:4; 2 Thess. 3:4; 1 Tim. 3:15; 1 Jn. 4:6).It is the Holy Spirit that is THE interpreter... not councils or individual interpretations.
