That's part of the problem. Another part is omission. Kyle Rittenhouse is never mentioned in Leftist journalism at all, and so it's even more effective that whenever they do (rarely) mention him, they describe him haphazardly and hint that he's some kind of criminal, rather than as an innocent man and not a criminal, which is what he is. Since he's almost never mentioned at all, and when he is mentioned he's hinted at as being a criminal, people who only get their news from Leftist publications come away confidently thinking Kyle Rittenhouse is a criminal. He should be able to sue every newspaper who together with other Leftist media organizations push the story that he's a criminal. Like the opposite of a class action lawsuit, where it's one man suing a class of organizations rather than a class of plaintiffs against just one party. Because I'm sure no one news organization is guilty of libeling him and defaming him, but if you put together what all the Leftists are saying about him in mainstream news, they are DEFINITELY defaming and libeling him.
