Depends on if you're counting number of starving people (up, because the population is up), or percentage of the population (down, because food production is way up, and distribution is much improved, though still not perfect).
* and pestilences,
Down.
* and earthquakes, in divers places.
Earthquakes are down
* and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Well, there was Hale-Bopp a few years ago....
