i heard somewhere that the establishmnt dislikes Cruz about as much as Trump or more

So much for the conservative campaign that anyone born outside of the US should be disqualified to run for president.
Both the mothers of Cruz and Obama were American citizens and the later could even produce his Hawaiian birth certificate - but according to the "birther" mindset he was constitutionally unfit to be president.
Now that a conservative presidential candidate has emerged who was actually born outside the country (Calgary, Canada) and held dual citizenship as late as 2014, all this moral indignation from the past 7 years has suddenly evaporated!

he did everything he could to stop Obamacare. Few others did, except that not one Republican voted for it (at least they didn't want to be too rino-ish on that issue)
he doesn't care whether people like his position on (whatever) or not; he will not go along to get along in (as he calls it) the Washington Cartel
he didn't approve of the NSA spying on us. And let's get this straight right now, that's exactly what the governtmnt was doing. Yet they apparently werren't spying on the Islamic extremists. That "woman" who entered the country and ended up killing 14 people in CA got through our lovely "vetting" process without a hitch.
No, the government is busy spying on Americans, too busy spying on us to have time for terrorists from other countries

I'm not questioning Cruz's citizenship to run for president - I am questioning the hypocrisy of our conservative friends who spent the last 7 years questioning Obama's citizenship and the
legal status of his presidency.
As for Judgement Day, I'm sure that Christ can determine the truth of the matter without the benefit of a politically motivated rant by "lighthouse99!"

Trump is probably the most evil and dangerous person in America , and if you have any sense, you won't be opposed to him because he was born in Canada but because a Cruz Presidency would be unimaginably catastrophic for America and the world .

this is why I like Cruz. He is a Constitutional scholar, who will not throw out our laws just to--what? keep order? That is essentially what some are advocating by supporting someone without experience (but a whole lot of anger)

If Cruz was such an experienced "constitutional" legal scholar, why did he have to be informed by a Dallas newspaper in 2013 that he was still a Canadian citizen?
With the "birther" controversy swirling around and the knowledge that he was born in Calgary, either Cruz knew that he held dual citizenship and hoped to that it would pass unnoticed OR he was grossly incompetent as a lawyer for not researching his own legal status.
