Is this the beginning of a one world religion?

Berlin House of One: The first church-mosque-synagogue?

Berlin thinks it is making religious history as Muslims, Jews and Christians join hands to build a place where they can all worship. The House of One, as it is being called, will be a synagogue, a church and a mosque under one roof.

An architecture competition has been held and the winner chosen. The striking design is for a brick building with a tall, square central tower. Off the courtyard below will be the houses of worship for the three faiths - the synagogue, the church and the mosque. It is to occupy a prominent site - Petriplatz - in the heart of Berlin.

The location is highly significant, according to one of the three religious leaders involved, Rabbi Tovia Ben Chorin. "From my Jewish point of view the city where Jewish suffering was planned is now the city where a centre is being built by the three monotheistic religions which shaped European culture," he told the BBC.

Can they get on? "We can. That there are people within each group who can't is our problem but you have to start somewhere and that's what we are doing."

The imam involved, Kadir Sanci, sees the House of One as "a sign, a signal to the world that the great majority of Muslims are peaceful and not violent". It's also, he says, a place where different cultures can learn from each other.

Each of the three areas in the House will be the same size, but of a different shape, architect Wilfried Kuehn points out. ...

Since 'God' is 'One', it is logical that a God governed world would have one universal religion so to speak, at least a foundation and set of fundamental principles that resonate with all, it being mirrored within. If all are truly united to God in Spirit, then there is automatically a sense that all men are brothers, and that all mankind have one God and Father. Such is the central theme of Jesus gospel, as he teaches us that God is our Father, and we his children. It all comes back to that 'relationally' speaking.

Kudos for Berlin, since it is wonderful that the 3 primary monotheistic religions are finding a unity from which springs their religious faith,...one of 'law/principle' (Judaism), God's will (Islam) and 'faith' (Christianity)....they all being reflections or aspects of one God source, rising up from the faith-legacy and promise given to Abraham, the father of many nations.

I find it interesting that many evangelicals seem to shun the concept of a 'one world religion' as some demonic anti-Christ deception, when scripture actually promises just that, when the kingdom of God is established on earth and in the hearts of all peoples. When that God-reality is the pure light shining in all souls, there is no need for teaching, for all shall be 'taught of God', or have the inward 'knowing' thereof,...and there could be no fear, division or separation in that knowledge of inherent unity of life, which translated in other words is LOVE.

Truth or Reality is One. Being 'universal' it can be approached or realized in various ways (multiple reflections of one Light pointing back to Source), since all 'ways' originate from and ultimately end with-in the one universal reality,...the 'truth' that is ever present (in all space and time, being timeless in essence).

John 14:6 is a peculiar passage in John's gospel only, within John's philosophical style having Jesus speaking specifically to his own disciples particular question. Jesus full confidence in his own conscious union with 'God' could inspire him to speak such words in answer to Thomas apparent ignorance. Jesus reassures Thomas, that he (Jesus) is the way, truth and life, that it is the living truth of the Father IN HIM, that is the true way, the life of divinity, the 'light' of the Spirit.

The light of Christ or 'God' is universal, for it enlightens all men who come into the world....therefore it is an interior element within the soul or spirit that exists beyond form or name, yet assumes a form and name so man can relate to it, and realize 'God' thru such means. The Light is One, the reflections are many.....like a pure beam of light travelling thru a crystal prism....that light differentiates itself into 7 primary colours (the rainbow), and further into every hue and tone possible in spectrum of creation. Does the light of pure awareness change?...or only the reflections, forms and appearances that arise within it?

God is One, God is Light. This must be taken absolutely, since 'God' alone is absolute reality, wholly present, here....now....and forever. There is no 'way' to what is already always present. A person may embody, express, personify or point to 'truth'....and in that sense he/she is the way, truth and life of 'God'. I am that. That 'person' is the 'vessel', and is a 'way' to 'God' as 'God' manifests and appears thru the 'agency' of that person.
