Yes TOL'ers the new TuthSmack.com is lighthearted and fun, it's more geared towards silliness, fellowship, entertainment, but still hits the world with a clever dose of truth! TruthSmack.com is similar to twitter (all posts are 140 characters or less) but unlike Twitter at TruthSmack.com you can also include images, YouTube videos, and google maps in your Smacks (i.e., posts). So, it's like TOL except for folks that have a short attention span.

TruthSmack.com is kinda like the TOL chatbox on steroids. Just imagine having the ability to take TOL with you on your cell phone. That's what TruthSmack is all about.

You can also earn badges for all sorts of "secret" TruthSmack accomplishments such as checking in at a remote location with your smart phone or having the most "followers" etc.

TruthSmack.com is not intended to be a Christian evangelical site per se... at TruthSmack.com just post anything that comes to your mind that is true..... it's free-form!

QUESTION: What's the need for TruthSmack.com when we already have TheologyOnline.com?

ANSWER a: More and more people are using their cell phone's to interact with other folks and they do so via social networking tools such as Twitter and Facebook. TruthSmack.com is very similar to Twitter therefore it is much easier to use with a cell phone. (in fact you can login to TruthSmack.com an existing Twitter account. You can even connect your TruthSmack.com account to automatically post to your Twitter account if you want to.)

TruthSmack.com even has a mobile interface which is great for viewing on a cell phone.

But wait, there's more...

Cell phone apps! TruthSmack.com is built on the powerful ShoutEm Networks and therefore you can download and install really awesome iPhone, Blackberry, (Droid coming soon) and java based cell phone apps for your smart phone which makes communicating on TruthSmack.com even more fun and easy.

ANSWER b: TheologyOnline.com needs a backup place to meet. We have now closed ArtofSmack.com (our old backup meeting place) and our only backup place to meet (if TOL is ever down due to maintenance) is TruthSmack.com.

ANSWER c: TruthSmack.com is designed to be lighter. No long drawn out conversations or threads, just quick "chat like" dialog that has more emphasis on the fellowship aspect of our community.
