Wicked theologians in high places

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This false teacher is in real trouble with God for justifying the murder of innocent unborn and almost-born babies.

The last time we encountered progressive theologian The Rev. Rebecca Todd Peters she was offering a defense of why it’s was perfectly acceptable for North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper to veto a “dangerous” bill. “ What bill was she [and he] bravely opposing?
HB453—Human Life Non-Discrimination Act/No Eugenics— which would prohibit an abortionist from performing abortions if he knows a woman is seeking the abortion because of race, sex or a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome. Oh, that dangerous bill!
The Rev. Peters is one of those all-too-familiar “progressive” ministers [in this case Presbyterian] who has persuaded herself that “justice” requires abortion, which requires overturning the patriarchy which includes recalibrating a religious “tradition that remains dominated by male god-language and imagery.” She even wrote a book (how about this for original ) titled “Trust women: A Progressive Argument for Reproductive Justice.”

Pure fiction - she never said "Any Reason is a Good Reason to Kill a Baby in an Abortion".

If you or any of your buddies can prove she actually said this, I promise to leave you alone for one month.

I was not there. I don't care what others want to claim for that woman, I am convinced she has willfully bloodied her hands with the blood of millions of aborted babies.

Straw man. No one, not even the author of the article, claimed she said that. Not even @marke.

This time you did not lie, marke, but you are posting something you should have known was a lie. Namely the implication that she said "Any Reason is a Good Reason to Kill a Baby in an Abortion".

She never said that.

It is a lie.

You can recognize a lie, can't you?

Nonsense!

The title of the article = Presbyterian Pastor: Any Reason is a Good Reason to Kill a Baby in an Abortion.

And from the article itself: The Rev. Peters drives every which way but in a straight line to reach the preferred answer: ANY reason is a good reason for abortion.

At least two time this lying article has put words in this minister's mouth that (a) she did not utter; (b) cannot be reasonably be inferred from her other statements.

You guys revel in the lies.

Is not attributing a quote to the person, but rather, is attributing the logical conclusion of the person's position to her.

Big difference.

And from the article itself: The Rev. Peters drives every which way but in a straight line to reach the preferred answer: ANY reason is a good reason for abortion.

Again: It's not quoting her. "Drives every which way BUT in a straight line..."

In other words, if anything, the author is saying that she's saying everything BUT that "preferred answer," that "any reason is a good reason for abortion." And to be honest, when someone has killed their own child, they will do or say anything to justify that action.

At least two time this lying article has put words in this minister's mouth that (a) she did not utter;

No one said she uttered it. Stop with this straw man.

(b) cannot be reasonably be inferred from her other statements.

Yes, it can be, especially since she's killed two of her own children. Usually, the loudest of pro-aborts are women who have killed their own children, and they will say just about anything to justify their actions.

You guys revel in the lies.

No lies here.

Still a lie.

Look: I am so sure that the headline does not represent what a reasonable person would infer about this woman's position that I did not even bother to check - I know the site is lying without even checking.

But prove me wrong - make the case that this is what this woman likely believes.

I guarantee you will fail - while this woman obviously supports abortion I guarantee that the claim that she believes "Any Reason is a Good Reason to Kill a Baby in an Abortion" is yet another monstrous lie coming from the evangelical right.

You guys have no standards at all - stolen elections, child-molesting rings operating out of pizza parlours, shameless lying about covid and the vaccines.

It never, never ends.

In other words, you're not interested in a rational discussion, judging by the fact that you fully admit to not even reading the article, yet claim to "know" that we're lying.

Get real. Get rational.

I read the article, and I guarantee you it is lying when it attributes the view "Any Reason is a Good Reason to Kill a Baby in an Abortion" to this woman.

It is your responsibility, not mine, to make the case that this woman believes what is claimed she believes. Which you have to know is not the case.

As a former right-winger myself, I have to say that it has been dismal to watch many of them enter full reality-denial mode. They don't like reality as it is so they are attempting to lie their way into a new reality--take, for example, Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts". That's a dangerous game to play though, because eventually reality always wins and the reality deniers always eventually lose hard. That is the game they have chosen to play though--one in which they are bound to lose hard.

... Rev. Peters ... “I’m a Christian minister who’s had two abortions."

No. You're a filthy pervert who Christ will cast into the pit of hell.

Why she did she and her husband abort two of their four children?

I like that the writer is following an example that I've seen elsewhere and insisting that the fetus is a child. I wish they could manage to drop the word abort and just use the word murder.
