Pre Election Fake News About Jobs

First you have to look at the headline from October 5, 2018

NPR on October 5, 2018
U.S. Unemployment Rate Drops To 3.7 Percent, Lowest In Nearly 50 Years

President Donald Trump gave us the lowest unemployment in 50 years. That is a fact.

What destroyed those jobs? Continued unnecessary Covid lockdowns and mandates by Democrat leaders after Covid had slowed, and the ripple effects from those. That is a fact.

And now, finally, thanks to the undefeatable American spirit, the jobs that Trump created have clawed their way back.

This is what Democrats call "Job Creation." It's the worst sort of propaganda.
There is not one single Biden policy that has aided job creation. Biden has created inflation, shortages, high gas prices, wars, surrenders, groomers, and more, but he has not created one job.

Our current low employment rate is all thanks to Trump, and thank to that amazing American spirit that would not allow Covid or Democrats to take away that which had earned.

You need to understand how the unemployment rate is calculated to understand the lie.

Back in 1994 the number of people that were considered to be long term unemployed were getting to be such a problem when figuring the unemployment rate the government simply defined them out of existence because the number looked so bad. So ever after that all the long term unemployed people were just ignored: those who hav gotten so discouraged trying to find a job they quit looking for a job through the unemployment office.

So now when people give up looking for work because there just aren't any jobs to find the unemployment rate drops and whoever the president is at the time crows about how successful his fiscal policies are no matter how many jobs they are destroying. That's what is happening right now.

Here is a site with the current actual unemployment is figured the way it used to be plus the current headline number plus the government's broader description of broader unemployment rate.

I won't disagree with anything you said.

But the focused, narrow point I am zooming in on is job loss due to Democrats Covid shutdown policies, and those jobs coming back post shutdowns. Democrats trying to claim those jobs as jobs they have created when in fact they are jobs that Trump created and Democrats temporarily destroyed is the big "fake news" I am addressing.

As for the real "rates" which is what you are addressing, at this time I will defer to you unless or until I learn something different.

It looks like I misunderstood your point. But, I still can't see how Trump is responsible for something that happened after he was no longer president as the return of jobs happened after 2020. I think a much better point is to demonstrate how few of the jobs have actually returned and that shows up clearly in the way the pre 1994 unemployment was figured. Post 1994 calculations have already eliminated a large number of unemployed people. Look at the charts to see that demonstrated.

President Trump's pre-pandemic economy was 'cooking with gas' there's no doubt about that.

If it weren't for covid he would have sailed into his second term with a tailwind.

Oh well. Spilt milk.

Let's say I plant some flowers and they grow, and then you pee on them and they get sick.
Then you stop peeing on them and they grow again.

I get the credit for the flowers, not you, the guy who stopped peeing on them

Trump gave us the lowest unemployment in 50 years.
Democrats pee'd on those jobs.
Now the pee'ing has stopped and the jobs are retuning.

Democrats didnt just now create all those jobs as they are claiming, Trump did.

That's my premise.

This topic is important because Biden has nothing to run on in 2024, and the Democrats have nothing to run on this year in 2022, so this fake news propaganda about job creation will repeated over and over.

This is only a Republican thing. Democrats don't have this. Democrats only have,

You have to learn when to cry, and for what reasons. That's the difference between a useful adult and all these babies. This is and should be obvious.

Covid happened, and President Trump couldn't claim his rightful second term. There's nothing I can do about it, but covid definitely ended his career as president, he doesn't have time, his dual impeachments are a bridge too far, and we all know if not for the pandemic he would have sailed to victory in 2020, but it didn't happen, and it was no one's fault, but it's over now, we can't live down the dual impeachments. The Senate didn't convict the second time, technically, legally, but it was more than 50%. We've got to just acknowledge what's done is done, and move onward and upward.

January 6 never would have happened if it wasn't for covid, that is a logical fact, as true as twice two is four. But it did happen, and that's the fact. We just have to move on. Our own party a little bit, thought he was guilty, they thought it was too close for comfort. We just have to acknowledge it. If we vote for him in 2024 and he loses, that's going to be a HUGE loss. HUGE.

We cannot lose any more elections. That much is true.

Would Trump lose to Biden? Trump won in 2020, and now after Biden being a total mental wasteland and destroying everyone's wallet, Trump would win again and twice as big.

I am not worried.

I would rather that Trump did not run in 2024, primarily because of his age. I would prefer that he take a backstage role and facilitate a President DeSantis.

But I realize that the words Trump and backstage role don't go together 😥

That works for me too. I hope they don't fight it out and bloody themselves up. I hope they reach a pre-primary agreement behind closed doors.

I think that DeSantis would be much more palatable for voters that are not strictly tied to a party.

I agree.

The thing I like best about DeSantis beside his bluntness and outspokenness (which were characteristics I liked about Trump as well) is the way the snowflakes on the left melt down at the sound of his name

No, Trump did not give us anything close to a record low unemployment rate. That was accomplished back in 1994 by the government redefining how the unemployment rate is calculated by eliminating millions of people from having a part in how government statistics are calculated.. A number that has grown every year since 1994. When the government eliminates the counting of a group of millions of unemployed people the only direction the unemployment rate can go is down. That does not equal the same thing as an honest unemployment rate.

I'm always amazed that people who absolutely know our government is completely dishonest by the things it pushes on us still want to believe it is honest. It's not. It's a criminal organization that lives above and outside of the rule of law. Wishful thinking that it does not behave that way will never change its behavior.

And what makes you think that Biden's policies are not still destroying jobs? Whetre is your evidence that our economy is growing? The GDP shrank, according to government numbers, by 1.4% in the first 3 months of this year. That number is a lie as it shrank more than that but even according to it there are fewer employed people and less money being made by the vast majority of people. It's like I told you before. The unemployment rate is dropping because so many people are giving up on finding a job where no jobs exist.

I wonder if either "party" will have anybody to run for president in 2024.
It could be the lowest rate of participation ever for a US presidential election.

The GOP will put forth either Trump or RonDeSantis.

The Democrats are stuck. What to do about Biden? Who knows.

Harris, perhaps?
I think Hillary will never get political again.
If the Dems' hold to their format, their candidates will be female and/or minority.

Perhaps. But remember, she was the FIRST to drop out of the primaries because of no support.

Oh but she wants to. She may not, but she sure wants to.

Martin Luther King dreamed of a day when people would be judged by their character and not by their color. Democrats today are the AntiKing.
