"Trumpsville", a narcissistic plantation where he can swing whichever way a favourable political wind is blowing - although they seem to have dried up...

IOW, you're still refusing to answer the question I asked you, preferring instead to just keep cranking out whatever sorry excuses for "humor" your sorry "wit" can think up. Whatever you may have had for a brain seems to have dried up...

Oh wow, what a burn that was dude, well played!

Trump isn't a politician. He's a coddled reality TV star who was born into wealth and should never have been in the WH to start with. He's a petulant man child who'd be better off advertising the pitfalls of using excessive spray tan.

Kind regards and all that...

Agreed.

What, according to your use of the word, "politician," would make someone a "politician"?
Man, I'm still applying the salve after your last...

Well, it's hardly my terminology but someone who's professionally involved in politics and in elected office. As you should be aware, I regard most in such positions, at least in higher ranking positions with outright cynicism.

Sounds like you're still throwing your tantrum over it.

Well, it's hardly my terminology

Whether or not you like it, the fact is that YOUR use of the word, "politician," is YOUR use of the word, "politician." And that's what I asked you about: YOUR use of the word, "politician."

someone who's professionally involved in politics and in elected office.
Trump isn't a politician.

So, according to you, President
Trump isn't [someone who's professionally involved in politics and in elected office].

I'm well aware that you love to keep saying that over and over. I'm not aware that you are speaking truth when you say it.

Oh man, I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight over those barbs of yours, they really were that devastating!

Well, actually, your post has induced some yawning so scrap that last and I'm off to bed. You convince yourself of whatever you wish!

The thing you need to realize about the impeachments is that it was known that they were political statements only. Everyone knew going into it that the Republicans were not going to vote to convict the politician that still had a stranglehold on their party at that point. They were only done to make a statement to say that the opposition tried to oust Trump, but failed. It was more for the sake of the history books than anything else.
Trump isn't a politician.

So articulate not .... and wrong.

Why does a Brit care so much about US politics? Are you like so many that have no life?
Oh, I do apologize for the lack of proper syntax and erudite wording my dear chap, how absolutely remiss of me.

I care about politics all over the world RD like many others. Sorry if that means we supposedly have "no life".

 I think that it may be a particularly American conceit to not care about the internal affairs of other countries. I noticed this during my time in the military that other countries citizens knew waaaay more (Albeit a kind of twisted parody version; our own fault as this is the way we portray ourselves.) about us than we knew about them.

I think this in itself says volumes about us.

 As for me, due to my own odd personality, one aspect being that I am an information junkie; I tend to be quite aware of the issues of the rest of the world...But here's the thing: It is rare that I care? enough to comment.

Is it a bad thing that I don't consider it "my business" unless it directly effects my country?...Am I to be my brothers keeper...Even on a national level? Is my surface level understanding of their issues adequate to comment intelligently on their cultural situations?

My own personal philosophical default is that indifference always leads to evil...But that's not the only way for evil to be done is it? :cautious:

Of course they know waaaay more about us than we know about them. We're a world hegemon. They're not. I'll bet the average European citizen knows very little about Canada and Mexico.

I live in Northern New York, closer to the Canadian national capital then my own state capital, closer to the two most populous Canadian metropolitan areas than to New York City.

And yet to most of my neighbors and friends and acquaintances up here, Canada is a foreign land, of which they are largely ignorant.

I'm more familiar with Trailer Park Boys 😁

And to be completely honest I'm a heck of a lot more familiar with SCTV.

I've only encountered Letterkenny and TVP in clips on YouTube
