Only the Invisible Spirit is 'God', prior to forms........

Only the Invisible Spirit is 'God', prior to forms........

Psalm 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Continuing from my former posts,....this exclamation is praise to the Most High, omnipresent One, whose reign by nature is eternal. Only 'God', that infinite, unborn, undying, universal reality or 'Presence'....has the 'highest throne' of exaltation, being the source of all righteousness.

We might also note that the above Jewish psalm above read by the Jews for many centuries before Jesus, and then quoted by the author of Hebrews in Heb. 1:8 was not interpreted as the Messiah being 'God' in the flesh or a divine god-man redeemer, but such referred to the role, status and office that the Messiah was to have who would be acting in God's stead, as his representative, and in this representational position would be 'god' (elohim), being a king, ruler, minister of the ordinances of 'God'. In this position of power and divine rule, the Messiah is recognized as a 'god' (the 'agent' of 'God')... empowered, led and anointed by the One and Only God (the Eternal Father).

See:

Clarifying Hebrews 1:8

Blind are the eyes that cannot see God in Christ Jesus!
-C. Spurgeon

I would agree with ole Spurgeon here, since Jesus was a true Light-bearer, and servant of the Most High 'God', his Father....in whom the Spirit of God indwelt and anointed. We too are the temple of God as we serve God and are anointed by His Spirit, being the 'Son' (the collective Sonship), for there is only one body of God, individual and collective. 'Christ' is the light and image of the invisible 'God', the divine principle, the logos in Man, for 'God' only has one 'Son' (who is the pure creation and eternal generation of Spirit).

Far beyond a mere assumption or belief that Jesus is 'God', is the reality that one omnipresent universal principle exists and pervades all that is (as pure Spirit, essence, consciousness),..for 'God' who is infinite has no bounderies, and subsists in all things, as all things, and beyond all things. 'God' is right now, the only absolute and infinite reality. 'God' is prior to any arising form, personality or express creation, so that 'God' as the Original One is the One and Only Supreme Be-ing. This fundamental principle inheres within all and without all....being 'that' which ever IS (prior to and beyond all definition, knowledge, name or form....the truly INFNITE).

Jesus is God because ?

Jesus is God because ?

Jesus is God because , because God shall Judge the World by that Man Christ Jesus, in His Person Acts 17:31

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

That Man is His Son the God Man Mediator 1 Tim 2:5

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

As Mediator He is Man, as God He is the Eternal Word Jn 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Now, scripture states that God is said to be the Judge Himself, apart from any other Ps 50:6

6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Then it must be that the Man ordained of God in Acts 17:31, must also be God, or scripture here in Ps 50:6 must not be accurate in its Testimony, and scripture is very clear that God is to Judge the World Righteously Rom 3:5-6

5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Look here at Ps 96:13

Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

The Lord here is Jehovah who is to be coming to Judge the Earth !

Is it not therefore the Same Lord Here in Jude 1:14-15

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment
upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Now who is the Lord here that cometh with a multitude of His Saints to Judge ? Its Christ !

So again, the Man in Acts 17:31, is the God Man, the Jehovah Man Christ !

Is Jesus claiming to be God here ?

Is Jesus claiming to be God here ?

Rev 21:6-7

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Now who is saying they are Alpha and Omega here Rev 1:11

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

We will see at the Judgment !

Don't be silly.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

Indeed, and it is a spiritual body, a godly body made up of those who are begotten of God and who are being shaped into his image and likeness.

As is the head so is the body.

The 'God' beyond one's concept thereof.........

The 'God' beyond one's concept thereof.........

You and I don't believe in the same God !

Continuing from our last response on this particular exclamation here, one ought not be surprised that 'beliefs' in various 'Gods' and their 'descriptions' vary.

Nevertheless, Reality itself is the universal truth behind all that is, was or will be....no matter what 'concept', 'opinion', 'description' or 'assumption' is thrown up onto the screen of consciousness. Reality continues, whatever comes or goes, since it is the prior, original Condition or 'context' in which all movements of creation and relative perceptions arise. We may call it Consciousness itself. If we call this Infinite, eternal, immortal principle 'God', then only 'God' itself is the absolute, eternal, infinite and timeless reality. - ontop of and around this central-truth, all theologies are assumed and constructed, hence the situation being 'complex'.

We would remind you again, that a statement or 'claim' that "Jesus is God" is only relative to the logic, belief-system, rationale and 'criteria' proposed by the claimant or 'faith-tradition' assuming such to be, according to their definition. :sherlock:

The 'God' that is the 'Father-Mother' of every-thing and being that appears in the phenomenal world (by which we accept in a 'relational-world' context) is the same 'God' of Jesus or any other personality, since The Universal Father IS the father of all personality, and all personalities. 'Deity' is the source of all, the ancestor of every-thing or being. This includes 'Jesus'.

Only 'God' is 'God',....who assumes the classical definition-descriptions of 'God', being incorporeal, unborn, timeless, eternal, absolute, infinite, inconceivable, uncomprehensible, unknowable, beyond language altogether, the infinite potentiality and actuality at the heart of all, without dimension, yet including all dimensions, ....prior to consciousness, yet including all consciousness,.... before, behind and beyond all,.... the original and originator of everything.

Where 'Jesus' fits into this is according to one's own realization of the person of Jesus as it relates to 'God', which is both within conception and beyond conception.

O t Scripture applied to Jesus makes Him God !

O t Scripture applied to Jesus makes Him God !

The fact that the scriptures teach that Jesus is God, by applying OT statements said only of God, to have them in the NT by Apostles applied to Jesus, proves He is God, and for those who still oppose it, only shows that they are men with depraved minds, reprobate concerning the Faith and Truth 2 Tim 3:8 !

Here goes one such comparison, for of God alone it is said here Ps 102:24-27

24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

The word God up in Vs 24 is 'el and means:

D.God, the one true God, Jehovah

Now all these things said of God here, is applied and said of the Son, by the Father here Heb 1:8-12

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Now for this not to be embraced and Acknowledged as scripture Evidence of the Son of God, The Lord Jesus Christ being God of Ps 102:24-27 speaks of reprobation to the Truth ! Avoid such !

The word reprobation also means from an american dictionary :

Theology , rejection by God, as of persons excluded from the number of the elect or from salvation.

I wholeheartedly accept and believe this definition !

Believe on Him and be saved !

Believe on Him and be saved !

We know that Jesus Christ is God from scripture Testimony such as " Believe on Him and be saved " so said the Apostle here Acts 16:30-31

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

And we know that can only apply to God Isa 45:21-23

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
