a so-called "thought experiment" dreamed up by anti-lifers involving test-tube babies

Recently on TOL, some advocates and lovers of the murder of babies called "abortion" were eager to display just how irrationally they are willing to think if only they can somehow convince themselves that such murder is really not murder at all. So, they set up something they laughably called "a thought experiment" that went something like this:

Suppose you are in a burning building with 101 other human beings and you are in a position to do one of the following two things:
  1. You can save 1 of these human beings from being burned to death, but by doing so, you will have to let the remaining 100 human beings be burned to death.
  2. You can save 100 of these human beings from being burned to death, but by doing so, you will have to let the remaining 1 human being be burned to death.
Which alternative will you choose? If you choose #1, you'll thereby show that you do not really consider to be human beings, the 100 human beings you let burn to death. If you choose #2, you'll thereby show that you do not really consider to be a human being, the 1 human being you let burn to death.

Of course, we've never been told by the anti-life creators of this dilemma why either choice should be thought to indicate that the chooser considers the human being(s) he/she is forced to let be burned to death to not be (a) human being(s).

I would choose #3, leave the creators of the "dilemma" in the building to burn to death
