How about focusing on the killers of multiple people instead of on the weapons they choose to use?
I guess because mass killers usually use guns?

"Over the past decade, about 75% of the 1,423 who have died in mass killings were shot. And some of the deadliest mass killings have been shootings, such as the Virginia Tech massacre."

What share of all murders and suicides in the U.S. involve a gun?

Nearly eight-in-ten (79%) U.S. murders in 2020 – 19,384 out of 24,576 – involved a firearm.

I believe I have the right to self-defense. Don't you?
No one's arguing that people don't have the right to self-defense. As Amnesty International observes:

Easy access to firearms – whether legal or illegal – is one of the main drivers of gun violence.

The state has an obligation to maximize the protection of human rights, creating the safest possible environment for the most people, especially those considered to be at the greatest risk. If a state does not exercise adequate control over the possession and use of firearms in the face of persistent gun violence, this could amount to a breach of their obligations under international human rights law.

This is why Amnesty International calls on states to fulfill their obligations to introduce and implement strict gun violence prevention laws and regulations. States also have the duty to establish measures they can use to intervene at community level to reduce and prevent gun violence in people’s daily lives.

Amnesty International campaigns for governments to use common-sense gun reform to stop gun violence and protect people’s right to life. Our human rights are not protected if our leaders fail to tackle and stop gun violence and gun deaths.

Mass killers use what they perceive is convenient and effective...How far down that rabbit hole do you want to go?

80% of murders and 75% of mass murders are committed with guns and easy access to guns is one of the main drivers of gun violence. How far down the reality-denial hole do you want to go?

You missed it, Skippy. The facts slipped right past you, and you ignored them. The fact is that 75% of all mass murders and 80% of all murders are committed with guns.
