Sal is one of my favorite YECs. But during the show he tells Ron that God is not omnibenevolent! 😯

I agree with Sal, actually. But I wonder how many other Christians would.

He won't actually come and dialogue here. His format, like social media, is a couple of soap boxes.

It depends on what one means by omnibenevolent. If you think it means God always does what we think is good, then no, He's not. But if He does what is really good, including destroying those who fight against Him, then yes.

That's a great way to put it. I will remember it for next time.

I took a philosophy/logic class in college where the professor presented his reasoning for why God doesn't exist. He said that if God is omniscient, omnipotent, and (I expected omni-present, but it was) omni-benevolent, then there would be no evil in the world.

It was a new concept for me then, but my immediate thought was that his view of what was good was unlikely to be the same as God's.
