Defunding Planned Parenthood will do absolutely nothing to stop abortion . In fact, it will actually INCREASE the abortion rate and put the lives and health of many poor women in America in Jeopardy .
It will be disastrously counterproductive . Without PP, the abortion rate would be even higher than it is in America .
They provide poor women with contraceptives and this has PREVENTED an enormous number of abortions .
PP has never rounded up poor women and forced them to have abortions at gunpoint . They do so of their own free will and because of their own personal problems . Abortions don't happen because of Planned parenthood, but because of poverty and hopelessness in America .
Abortions are only 3 % of what they provide - mostly they provide contraceptives, mammograms, and other medical care which poor women would otherwise be unable to afford .
And remember - the story about PP supposedly selling body parts was revealed from the very beginning as a blatant pack of lies orchestrated by the radical anti-choice outfit "Center for Medical Progress " . There is absolutely no truth to these accusations.
Planned Parenthood is a non-profit organization , and no one who works there does expecting to get rich, because this isn't even possible there .
