Some months ago, a fellow German speaking YEC made me aware of this little gem:
From "Das wieder erstehende Babylon, die bisherigen Ergebnisse der deutschen Ausgrabungen“ (The results of the German excavations of Ancient Bablyon), p.103, R. Koldewey (1913)
Page 103 describes the largest room of the excavated palace, which certainly would have served as the kings hall.
"Daß die Wände dieser Räume mit weißem Gipsputz versehen waren..."
Translated
"We saw that the walls of this room were covered in white plaster"
Of course Daniel already knew this, because he was there.
Daniel 5:5 In the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Wikipedia also has fairly extensive list of items pertaining to biblical archaeology, if anyone is interested in things like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_inscriptions_in_biblical_archaeology
