Evaluating Speeches

If an instructor for a public speaking class were to listen to a speech that expresses bad theology or a point of view that the instructor disagrees with, then how should the speech be evaluated?

Suppose someone gives a speech in defense of young earth creationism and another person gives a speech in defense of the theory of evolution in a public speaking class. Suppose both speakers have excellent speaking skills. How should both speeches be evaluated? I was just wondering because I don't think that there can be outstanding arguments and evidence for both of those conflicting points of view.

Also, ultimately, it's "apples and oranges". The two propositions are based on two very different evaluative criteria, so that each will appear wrong by the criteria of the other.

Could you explain what those criteria would be?
