The first link to this show is the 10/28/03 show, not 10/29/03 show. The 10MB link is correct though. The same thing at www.KGOV.com

I have listened to the first half of the show so far. I find the public school topic very interesting. They are trying to pass a levy where I live (St Cloud MN) as well. They passed a levy here in 1998 and they promised not to try again for another 10 years. Well they tried again in 2001 (failed), 2002 (failed) and now again in 2003. My school district uses the same old cliques, high class size, need new equipment, need new books. Bob is right, when you spend OTHER peoples money, you don’t spend it well. The school district will NEVER have enough money and will ALWAYS want more.

PERTINENT QUOTE OF THE SHOW:

The public schools are atheistic by definition and if you have a godless curriculum it can not be a moral foundation so no matter how good the kids get at math and science, it's a fundamentally immoral/amoral education we're giving our kids. And I don't want to pay for that.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll pass this message on to KGOV.

Say! That was me towards the end of the show, I brought up the Gregory Biggs windshield murder because recently the victim’s son, Brandon Biggs got a $10,000 scholarship from a death row circulation called compassion, who’s subscription is underwritten by anti-death penalty churches and organizations because of Brandon’s “overwhelming” desire to forgive her even though nothing was spoken of her repenting and taking responsibility for her actions.

Brandon is going to attend a seminary and probably will have this issue of unconditional forgiveness further supported. When I raised this issue of forgiveness without repentance over the CB in an effort to get the common man’s feedback, this time I got only two types of response, avoidance and offense, and the offense was rather vocal against me, saying something like, well who are you to judge who should be forgiven and who should not, and so on.

Street preaching is a tough way to go, CB preaching is not a cush path either, let me tell you.

Bob’s teaching about forgiveness was one of the things that made me interested in his biblical persuasion. You very rarely hear that you should not, nor can not forgive those who are not repentant. Then Bob did his two shows about divorce and remarriage and I knew that I had to find out what sort of theological position he held. God is a righteous God, forgiveness is at the heart of what it means to be saved, so praise God for rock solid biblical truth about forgiveness for a change!

Blessings.

shiloproject – Right, it’s a godless atheistic liberal and probably socialistic education system. I wouldn’t even want them to teach my kids how to think. Bad company corrupts good habits.

LOL – Thanks. That was pretty good, all you need is 18 wheels and a big radio and off you go, you'd do fine. (chuckles) You know, truck drivers are not traditionally known for intellectual achievement and godly language and exhortation. Although upon occasion, you will find some great believers out there. I recently had the pleasure of witnessing to a full time Chaplin at a truck stop not far from the twin cities in Minnesota. I was able to broach many tough and controversial issues with him, and I believe I helped shore up his faith on a number of issues. It was a blast, and in that day alone, I handed out three! Count them, three info sheets about BEL and The Plot as well as TOL and Biblical Answers.

The other two was at a truck stop where the topic was about them crazy middle easterners. After I started in a bit, one young guy said, ya, I agree with you, and another guy was listening along pretty interested. It went really well, and that day I covered by theological ground with my fellow man than I had ever covered in the last year and a half since I’ve been back over the road again! It was great, and then that same night I had a 2 or 3 hour discussion with that minister, wow, what a good deal!

Speaking of trucking, I have to go, it’s late and the morning comes to quickly. Night all, I’ll try to be online this week while on the road again. Voice recognition, GPS guidance mapping, cellular internet connection, and Holy Spirit making me into a new creature, pretty interesting stipulation. Blessings to all God’s own. Over and out.
