Is manipulation always deception? If so (and I'm not sure I agree yet, as you haven't presented evidence for the claim), is deception always wrong? Is God being deceptive when he tells the Israelites to set up an ambush for the people of Ai?Do you realize that your claims destroy the plan of salvation? If God breaks his own law by deceiving people why did Jesus have to die on the cross?
Joshua 8:2 (KJV) And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.
What about when he will send a "strong delusion"?
2 Thessalonians 2:11 (KJV) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
If he's not being directly deceptive in the first, at least he's being manipulative in the second.
