Trump is a thug and runs his life like any other gangster. He lets underlings take the wrap for his crimes. Trump colluded with Russia to get elected, tried to strong arm foreign officials as well as state officials trying to illegally stay in power. He incited an insurrection. Feeble republicans have delayed his comeuppance so far. He can go down on his most minor offense now like Capone.

Is there finally some proof somewhere of all this criminality accusation or is it still as it always was before . . . no proof? Is there proof? Where's the proof, do we finally have proof? Proof? You know . . . proof?

Looking at today's headlines from three news media outlets, let's see if any of them think that finally there is proof:

CNN! Literally none of the top headlines concern the former president.

NY Times - top headline "Possibility of Obstruction Looms Over Trump, Affidavit Suggests"
Literally couldn't be any more non-committal.

AP - the two top headlines concern Trump
"Takeaways from the unsealed Mar-a-Lago search affidavit"
Yawn.
"FBI: Trump mixed top secret docs with magazines, other items"

Yes you read that right. He mixed some papers and magazines together, like Uno cards with poker cards.

My goodness.

Get a grip.

(1) Trump was in unauthorized possession of national defense information, namely properly marked classified documents.

(2) He was put on notice by the U.S. Government that he was not permitted to retain those documents at Mar-a-Lago.

(3) He continued to maintain possession of the documents (and allegedly undertook efforts to conceal them in different places throughout the property) up until the FBI finally executed a search warrant earlier this month.

It’s Over: Trump Will Be Indicted

There is little left for the Justice Department to do but decide whether to wait until after the midterms to formally seek the indictment from the grand jury.

If lightening strikes a tree in your neighbor's yard and the tree hits your house, the neighbor is not responsible. If the neighbor's tree was in a diseased state and started leaning in the direction of your house and you spoke to the neighbor about it and then later it fell on your house, the neighbor is completely responsible.

Retaining documents despite warnings like this is a crime requiring no actual damage, and extreme recklessness is paramount to intent.
