Interesting news - i believe there will be a third temple built near the end of the time of the Gentiles coming to a close.

The statement from Housing and Construction Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) breaks a long-standing taboo on high-ranking government officials speaking about changing the fragile status quo on the holy and contested esplanade, and will likely draw ire from official Israeli circles and anger the Arab and Muslim world.

Speaking at an archaeological conference next to the West Bank settlement of Shilo and quoted by Maariv, Ariel called for a third Temple to be built on the site, which today is home to the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque and is considered Judaism’s holiest site and Islam’s third holiest....

Well,....if according to some OT prophecies the 3rd temple is to be built....someone has to call it forth - the complications here are with who owns the land already and the political-cultural divisions and tensions between 2 religious faiths, and how it will all be 'coordinated'. The Temple Institute covers the whole of Temple-history, culture and reverence,...holding the vision for the 3rd temple.

It also poses a conundrum with how such a rebuilding will affect Jewish culture in the 'new age' to come, as far as the 'forgiveness' and 'absolution' of sin goes, thru re-establishing animal sacrifice and the priesthood and how that will coalesce with the Christian belief and concept of 'blood-atonement' only thru Jesus blood. Furthermore, if Jesus does return to establish a 'messianic age',...where will the Jewish temple factor in there? - these are just a few tid-bits of interest concerning the temple-project.

The third temple will be defiled by the Antichrist who will declare himself to be God and the jews will come to Christ.
