A bit of advise [sic] for you: Say a prayer to God the Father in the name
of God the Son that, God will give you wisdom and knowledge to
understand what you're about to read. Then, open your Bible and
read and study Romans through Philemon. These are the writings
of the Apostle Paul to the gentiles. (us.)

If the Bible is inerrant, does that then mean our understanding of it is ALSO inerrant?

And which version or translation should I read? Which variant is "the real" WORD of God?

Like it or not, we do not have the original manuscripts. We have many. And all them are copies of still older ones and they are all different. Some in very profound ways.

To be blunt, the oldest copy of any New Testament writing in existence is a tiny fragment of the Gospel of John.

Put your personal hermeneutics out on the table and share with me your methodology for studying the Bible.

Bible study is actually studying the Bible. Which Bible(s) do I study?

That's the oldest excuse in the world, but the Bible remains the top selling Book in any translation. People down through the ages have found life in it's pages. Most translations are not "all different" in content, and those "profound" differences" are only considered "profound" by those who talk about the Bible instead of listening to what the Bible says. :)

I disagree with that, a good whipping works wonders.

Yep, and that "good" part is the important part. If it's administered out of anger or frustration....without an intention of teaching it isn't good. Like anything else, it can be abused and the lack of it is it's own form of abuse. Which is what we're seeing today.
