Tried watching the movie yesterday got about halfway through it and gave up.
Just ran across this and watched it and it was more enjoyable than the movie and made more sense.

I was surprised to find out that the actress who plays MJ - Zendaya - identifies as black. I would have guessed Hispanic if anything.
Turns out her mother's side is 100% Caucasian.
And her father's side is less than 100% African, with ancestry in Macedonia and Iceland.

I understand that there's no political benefit to describing yourself as Macedonian, but whose skin tone does she look closer to - her father or her mother?
Or this guy, the most famous Macedonian ever?
