The Biden administration: Inflation does not hurt poor people

If I had not read this I would never have believed any government officials would have ever said something so stupid.

Ronald Klain, the White House chief of staff, was criticized online late Wednesday after he retweeted a post from a Harvard professor that summed up our top economic issues as "high class problems."

Jason Furman, Harvard’s Aetna professor of the practice of economic policy, said the country would not be faced with these issues if the unemployment rate was still 10%, an apparent reference to Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell's comments early this year when he said the unemployment rate in January was around that number.

BUTTIGIEG CALLED OUT OVER ‘JOKE’ ABOUT SUPPLY CHAIN

Furman said if that unemployment rate was still a reality, the country would have "had a much worse problem."

Conservatives on social media took issue with Klain’s retweet, claiming that he was, in effect, downplaying the hardships that some Americans are experiencing.

Tom Cotton: Buttigieg is incapable of organizing nation’s supply chain crisis

What if politicians and fiscal experts are wrong about the danger of overspending? Very bad things will happen. At any rate, hardly a day goes by anymore without some news report quoting officials and experts admitting they were wrong in their prognostications and promotions, much to the serious harm of all Americans.

“Let me be clear on two points. First, realized PCE inflation so far this year represents, to me, much more than a ‘moderate’ overshoot of our 2 percent longer-run inflation objective, and I would not consider a repeat performance next year a policy success,” he said.

“Second, as always, there are risks to any outlook, and I and 12 of my colleagues believe that the risks to the outlook for inflation are to the upside.”

How very apropos.
[Dan 5:6 CSB] his face turned pale, and his thoughts so terrified him that he soiled himself and his knees knocked together.

I want the government to stop shutting down businesses, stop firing workers who object to the covid vaccine, stop taxing and regulating everything that moves until it stops moving, and stop shutting down fossil fuels.

That's nice. However: "The economy's strong rebound from the 2020 coronavirus caught many businesses by surprise. Their scramble to meet unexpectedly strong demand has created shortages of labor, raw materials and goods and snarled traffic at ports and freight yards. The result has been higher prices, and the supply squeeze is expected to last at least well into 2022.

What would you like the government to do to fix this supply/demand problem when the private companies responsible for the ports, trucks, terminals and trains that make up the nation’s goods pipeline operate beyond easy federal direction?

2021 may be the end of God Bless America as we know it if democrats do more to fundamentally transform America into a Goddamn America Democrat Socialist Fascist backwater nation.

There was a time here when you'd get an infraction for taking the Lord's name in vain (I know who you're referencing, so don't bother to 'splain it). Interesting you don't have a problem repeating it though. Another evangelical barrier broken in the MAGA era.

I'm sorry. I was drawing from Obama's homosexual pastor's preaching when he said, "I don't say God Bless America, I say Goddamn America." Democrats prove they are not in favor of God Bless America but, as promoted by Obama's democrat church crowd, they see our nation as Goddamn America.

I want the government to stop lying and admit Biden's policies are driving up fuel costs, bankrupting businesses, putting tens of thousands of people out of work, flooding our southern border with covid-infected illegals with their greedy hands out for government money, and so forth.

So, apparently not comprehending in the least that I told you I already knew the story behind the quote, you go and 'splain it anyway and in the process, take the Lord's name in vain again. smh...
