The Death Penalty should be applied equally to all ages

It's not an assertation. I'm telling you that's what happened. God could have sent an angel to close the mouth of the alligator. But He didn't. The alligator ate the baby. That is the reality of the situation we are in. Do you understand that?

Do you think that God should have intervened? What on earth point are you even trying to make?

Yes, because you seem unable to know why these problems exist. Or whether or not they even exist at all. You don't seem to understand that Britain has a rape problem (even though you live there). So I'm wondering if I can at least get you to understand that Florida has an alligator problem.

Britain has no more of a rape problem than America has, so your ridiculous hyperbole notwithstanding, get educated and informed before making dumb assertions that only serve to make you look completely ignorant.

He intervened when He gave us the authority to put alligators to death.

But you'll never guess what happened! Some people came along and said, you can only kill certain kinds of alligators on certain days of the year in certain places and your not allowed to go out and shoot alligators inside the city. And now there are alligators everywhere inside the city. You can be eaten alive by an alligator on your way to 7-11.

Weird, huh? Imagine that.

You really are prone to exaggeration aren't ya? I've read up on Florida and its nothing like the picture you're trying to paint here. The way you're making it sound it's as though they've taken over the city which is clearly outright bunk.

You got to crawl before you can walk, bud. Try starting with the alligator problem! Can you identify the cause of the alligator problem? (The answer is somewhere in this post.)

Yeah, you wanna learn to gurgle before you can crawl man cos this is ridiculous.

Sticking your head in the sand is not going to fix the problem, Arthur. America has a rape problem. Britain has an even worse rape problem at a rate that's 2-3 times higher than that of the US. It is the nation which the term "grooming gang" was invented for. And out of the 11,000 inhabited islands in the world, it seems to be the #1 most rapey-est island on the entire planet, according to Grok.

Do have any ideas yet on how to solve the alligator problem in Florida? Deep fried alligator tail is mighty tasty with hot sauce..

Getting your "news" from social media sites like "Grok" is hardly a yardstick for objective truth or anything resembling. I'm not going to turn the issue of rape into some kind of asinine point scoring contest for obvious reasons but if you possess critical thinking skills you'll reevaluate. Here's a link that can help:

Hyperbole notwithstanding, there isn't an alligator problem in Florida, and if there suddenly turns out to be then eh, vote for one of 'em.

So essentially you are arguing that many of the rapes people get convicted of in the UK, aren't real rapes. They are.....something else. Or that the rapes aren't as bad as say, the rapes in the US?

No, I'm not contending such a position at all and if you'd read the article properly and in context that I linked to, it would rid you of such assertions. I'm not interested in reducing the horror of rape to some sort of urinating contest thanks. Someone very close to me was the victim of such and I was there amid the after effects of it. Go fish elsewhere if you want that kinda crap cos not interested.

That is the position of the article you just posted!

You said I didn't know what I was talking about and that this article explains what's really going on. 😅

What is wrong with you?

Oh, there's quite a lot wrong with me at the minute but my reading comprehension is just fine. So, to reiterate, neither I or the article are contending that rape is anything over than what it is - forced sexual assault on someone against their will and without consent. This can occur anywhere including the confines of a marriage bed. What it does explain is why countries that have lesser protections for rape have significantly lower report rates due to cultural factors where sexual assault and abuse is kept 'within the home' - and that's before we even look at countries like Saudi Arabia that regard women as second class citizens and property.

Rape is a problem in the UK, nobody's denying that and the percentage of offenders caught and convicted is too low, but I'm not interested in turning the subject into a point scoring contest. At all.

Sounds like you need to finally get your act together. What's stopping you?

Nonsense and Orwellian double speak. The article claims the UK has "better protections for women" and at the same time it says we can't compare the UKs rape rate with other countries.

How can any know if the former is true without performing the latter comparison? It's just goobeldy gook.

You are wasting your time.

Yes your reading comprehension is in fine form.

Here's hoping the medical issues you've had to deal with in the past year will follow suit. ❤️

Well said.

I could link to any given event from the UK to America, Canada, France etc. Just what point are you trying to make with this, especially in regards to this actual thread?!

The point is they're "asylum seekers."

Just as other threads at TOL do, these YouTube and X videos (overuse of both of those platforms leads to brain rot) by content creators who are racist, who take a crime by a person of color and then relentlessly focus on color as the driver of the perp's crime.

A white guy in Texas kills his pregnant wife and two children and it's crickets. I guarantee if he'd been Black, there would be endless videos posted here about it, with related racist commentary. It's the nature of the game. It's not whether these content creators and their supporters are racists, it's whether and to what extent they can get away with it. The getting away with it is what fuels them.

A white guy in Texas kills his pregnant wife and two children and it's crickets.

A black teen kills a white teen and the left and the black community blames the white boy for confronting the black boy.

Then goes crazy when the black teen is convicted of murder.

Yeah, we don't care anymore about being called racists by peple like you.

If recognizing that there's a crime problem in America and recognizing that a significant portion of crimes per capita are done by black people makes us racist, then so be it.

A white guy in Texas kills his pregnant wife and two children and everybody on our side of the aisle condemns him and calls for his arrest, trial and execution.

If you're hearing crickets it's because that's what you want to hear.

Because you have mush for brains, you adorable little bananahead 😘

Are you high or something?? We think he should be put to death, Anna. How could you not realize that? This thread is about the death penalty!

Do you agree that he should be put to death? I bet you disagree.

I would max out my credit card on that bet in a second.

Sounds like you need to grow up. My issues are medical ones thanks and if you've never suffered from any serious ailments then you wanna be thankful.

Have you even read any of George Orwell? Of course it isn't although I certainly seem to be wasting my time with you.

IIRC You said you thought your job might be making you sick and then you said something about being in the hospital for a couple weeks and now something else has happened. When I was 20 I sat alone in a room with my father as he flopped around like a fish and bleed out of his eyes as he died from liver cancer. I hope that yours and no ones medical issues will never be that bad.
