The difference between a liberal and a conservative

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
If a liberal is down-and-out, he wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk-show host, he switches channels.
If a liberal doesn't like a talk-show host, he demands he be kicked off the air or for the station to be forced to give a liberal equal time.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
If a liberal is a non-believer, he wants any mention of God and Jesus to be banned in public.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
If a liberal decides he needs health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for his.

Like one couldn't make a similar list in the other direction....something that would start off with...

If a liberal doesn't want an abortion, she doesn't get one.
If a conservative doesn't want an abortion, she wants all abortions outlawed.

If a liberal isn't gay, he doesn't have a same-sex wedding.
If a conservative isn't gay, he wants same-sex weddings outlawed.

A liberal wants students to learn about all major world religions in an objective context.
A conservative wants government schools to promote his religion only, and not mention others unless it's to denigrate them.

And so on.....

So true. It's funny watching people who claim to not believe in God spend so much time attempting to outlaw His every mention.

I have personally never protested to outlaw Mormons or JW's or ufo people.

I know several liberal vegetarians, and even vegans, and none of them support that. They might encourage. They might argue. But they also don't stop me.

And, since the economy is rigged against the poor and in favor of the rich, both of them generally fail.

Yeah. I've never heard of a conservative boycotting or protesting anything.
