The New Left: Trump Republicans

We need not go back to his younger days as liberal Democrat: His 60's. Not the 1960's, but a few years ago when he was in his 60's and a big supporter of the Democrat party. We can see Trump's support of liberal policies during his campaign for President...some of them so liberal that a Democrat couldn't have campaigned on them even in 2008.

Trump supports universal healthcare where "everyone is covered" and "the government will pay for it."

And Trump is now promising a $1 Trillion stimulus plan, more than passed by Obama and the Democrats, and more than the plan proposed by Hillary Clinton during her campaign.

One could go on and on about Trump's liberal views, but the laundry list of left wing positions seems to do little to deter his supporters. They like to call all of his opponents "liberals" and "Democrats," but being that they are the ones supporting these liberal big government policies, it is only rhetoric.

Do liberty, limited government, and free markets have a place in Trump's Republican Party? Those ideas seem to be vanishing.
