So you're saying the perfect regime is a bunch of representatives arguing about the interpretations of our consciences; what our consciences mean?
We already have that.
And if that's not what you're saying, it just sounds like autocracy, prove me wrong.
I mean, while we're working through those things, it protects us all, it enables us to defend the morals that we all do with a supermajority agree on. And it even survives violent confrontations between us to sort out morality which we disagree on. As all good disputes on morality must.
