He may not be the best president ever but at least now the rest of the country is being represented. The left needed to gain some balance.

Thanks a lot, I was eating my breakfast.

:rotfl:

Initially, I was struck by his arrogance. But more and more the standout characteristic of the man, in my estimation, is the complete inability to trust nearly anything he says. Though the arrogance still runs a close second as he flaunts his lies and hides them in plain sight, knowing that, at least for now, he seems to be above accountability.

Who? :idunno:

Did you know Taiwan's current president faced some controversy during his election campaign? His opponents accused him of being a US citizen and having a current Green Card. :chuckle:

He's the best president in my memory, which goes back to Johnson.

He was handed 2 wars, a financial meltdown, and a huge loss of respect for the US around the world.

The right hate him because of two things: racism, both blatant and subconscious, and fear, fear that admitting the truth about what they've done to the country and the world, and admitting the truth about the good that Obama has done will effectively end the Republican party in the US.

Maybe if they agreed to cease viewing Cricket as a legitimate sport...

Er .. they'd have to learn what it was first. :plain:

Taiwanese love the Yankees because of Wang Chien Ming.

Which football team does Obama support?

I don't worship Obama, nor do I consider him "The Chosen One",
"The Messiah ", perfect, and above reproach. He's as fallible as any
US President or world leader, and of course would admit this himself.
But neither is he the Antichrist , a demon, ogre, or monster,
a socialist,Marxist and communist, a "baby-killer", supporter of infanticide, a "narcissist", the narcissist in chief, a supporter of over-the-
hill 60s radical terrorists such as Ayers,or a friend of them, a muslim,
friend and supporter of tyrants, hater of America, "apologist" for it,
unpatriotic, a hater of the military and our troops, a dictator, illegal alien,
and all that garbage.
All the accusations against him by hysterical, paranoid , right-wing
citizens and commentators. Rumors, rumors, and nothing but rumors.
Lies, lies, and more lies. And the ironic thing is that the REAL left wing in America doesn't even consider him one of its own, because he's just too conservative for them !

He's a good, decent ,honorable and intelligent man trying to do the best he can in impossible circumstances. He's faced with the most difficult job in world history, but some one had to take on this awesome responsibility .
His administration has no doubt made mistakes and will continue to, just like every other one in US history, but he's not going to turn this country into another totalitarian comunist dictatorship, and he's not a threat to our freedom.
And even if his proposed health care policies don't work, I doubt that republicans and right-wing extremist independent politicians have anything better to offer. Only time will tell.
And if anything and any one is a threat to freedom and prosperity in America, it's right-wing extremist politicians in bed with the religious right screaming for "freedom" while wanting to turn this nation into
an obscurantist theocracy . They're the ones who scare me.
Let's hope and pray some hypocritical right-wing demamgogue will not seize power in 2112 in the wake of the backlash against Obama.
