RANSOM FOR MANY OR ALL ?

Jesus revealed the truth to James. Good grief.

What truth? The SECRET that was HID IN GOD until revealed to Paul? Nope!!

Eph 3:1-12 KJV For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (2) If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: (3) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4) Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (6) That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: (7) Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (8) Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (10) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, (11) According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (12) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Your arguments are with God and His Word.

See. those my Christ shed His Blood for, they dont know about nor have access into that Grace of Justification they already have, not until Christ gives them life from the Spirit which gives them Faith. However they were already Justified while ungodly.

The Jesus you believe in is not real.

The mystery was revealed by Jesus. See what Paul teaches...it is revelation to the Gentiles as stated way back in the beginning of Luke.

That mystery Paul taught is what was taught by Jesus when he came to earth.

Luke 2:32
a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel."

Acts 13:47
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

Acts 26:23
that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles."

Deny God's Word.... that's your problem.

You have no clue. James was one of the FIRST books written in the "New testament". Paul came LATER.

You don't know exactly when James wrote that letter.

Can you imagine, for a second, Jesus having James believe and preach something that is against what Paul wrote?

That was NOT a mystery. Those are QUOTES from Isaiah.

You fight against God.

The revelation of the mystery.

Romans 16:25 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,

Ephesians 3:3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

We don't have to know EXACTLY when it was written. What we DO know that is was written very early compared to Paul's epistles.

Neither is "against" the other. They are simply two different things... neither of which you have the slightest understanding.

Nope... try again.... your supposed "mystery" was written by Isaiah LONG BEFORE that.

Try these:

Romans 16:25 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,

Ephesians 3:3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

You don't know that and guess what? It doesn't make a difference.

Of course you make it against each other---you try to use it against me.

Trusting Christ for His death for my sins and His resurrection for my Life.

I have trusted in Christ and his resurrection, and rejected that I can do anything to save myself. I am still asking God to help me understand more fully, but I believe that the 'proven saved' view is probably the best plain reading of Scripture...that everyone or almost everyone behaves very differently by being changed and made into a new person after believing. I don't think that every true Christian becomes the perfect ascetic radically loving saint, but in most of them there must be a big change if Scripture is to be belved. What do you think?

"Many" is a proper term from the perspective that not all will be saved in the end. It means Jesus died for all but only some will be saved. The "some" can be referred to as many in perspectives. With Jesus many are saved.

From the above perspective, if it's rephrased as "died for all" without further elaboration, some may comprehend as "all are saved". That's how the term "many" can be used according to perspective.

That said. The ransom is paid for all (though not all are saved) such that God can call for all to repent. It's no point to ask all to repent when a ransom is only made for some.

When you paid only for a few but ask all to leave the abduction, don't you think that it's a dishonesty.

:french:

Both of those were written by PAUL... the one to whom THIS mystery was revealed.
  • Romans 16:25 "according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,"
  • Ephesians 3:3: "the mystery made known to me by revelation"
Apparently you do not know what BY REVELATION means.
