Fiona Hill: "The president was trying to stage a coup"

an anti Trump conspiracy is a bit of a stretch isn't it?
I posted a video in your other thread. You might want to watch it.
Is Sidney Powell against Trump because she has ties with Q?
Yep. She was duped by Q-Anon.
Okay, an outfit that has the premise of Trump fighting a secret war against an elite cabal of Satan worshipping paedophiles is absolutely bat crazy from the get go but boy, did it get a fan base from the MAGA crowd or what?
That's the whole idea of a disinformation campaign. Get your enemies chasing after targets and foes which don't exist while you smash them soundly in an election.

Well, as I've said in that thread, YT videos on this type of subject are hardly convincing from either 'side' in the main.

Yep. She was duped by Q-Anon.

How is someone who's supposed to be smart get duped by such a loony outfit?

That's the whole idea of a disinformation campaign. Get your enemies chasing after targets and foes which don't exist while you smash them soundly in an election.

Q has been going for years, long before this election and if its purpose was to undermine Trump, then what does it say about the myriad on the far right who have and still lap it up?

Right. The Democrats have not staged a violent insurrection in the Capitol building. Glad we can agree on that.
Snorts. First it's clear you have no idea as to what sarcasm is. Second, antifa and blm took an active part in what happened at the Capitol building. They couldn't miss a chance to riot and incite riot. In my opinion they were the ones responsible for inciting the riot and the attack on the Capitol.

Only problem with your last paragraph is it isn't true. Trump won that election in a land slide. Creepy Joe who couldn't muster up a campaign event with more than a couple of hundred attendees got more votes than Obama ever did? You really believe that?

Sydney Powell said Trump won California . . . . no, just no.

So you haven't even looked at the evidence of fraud. Sometimes Trump's number of votes would go down, and Biden's go up the same amount. Other times Trump's numbers would go down and Biden's not go up. Tell, me, in an additive count how can someone lose votes? How about the videos of a polling station sending everyone home, but about a half dozen people stay and then count votes for 2.5 hours which were drug out from under a table covered with a black tablecloth that one of the people who stayed after everyone else was sent home had set up that morning and stuffed what appeared to be suitcases under the table. And then they dragged the ballots out of there and counted them in private.

The evidence of fraud is overwhelming. How about Biden getting in excess of 120,000 straight votes. You think that is just pure honesty in elections? That happened in a swing state when Trump was leading by a percentage point or two. Really? In an election that is basically 50/50 on person is going to get 120,000+ straight votes? The odds of that happening are far beyond statistical impossibility. And how about states have 10s of thousands of dead voters, voters having fake addresses, out of state voters, and mail in ballots having rejection rates of 0.00003% when the previous years have averaged 3% rejection rates, and mass ballot harvesting. Just all coincidence? Right? And to have that kind of stuff happen in all six swing states. Yeah, just pure happenstance. No fraud to see here. And the Dominion machines hooked directly to the internet when they were supposed to be air-gapped. People testified under oath that Dominion employees would repair voting machines remotely Can't be done if a machine is air-gapped.

I believe that if people had done their work earlier, Trump could have won Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. I believe the failure to insist on the signature verification lost Trump a lot. I know there was a lot of cheating going on. Was it enough cheating to provide Trump with a win - I will never likely know.

In many ways, this is Trump's fault. Trump kept on hiring insiders who consistently backstabbed him. If he had put someone decent in the FBI or Justice Department, or really anywhere, things would have been better. The only decent choices he made are Pompeo and Ben Carson. That's it. He selected 3 Supreme Court Justices and failed with all three. So only two of his appointments were successes. Trump listened to insiders about Julian Assange and didn't pardon him. Assange was key to disseminating the Clinton e-mail and would have been the best choice to disseminate the Hunter e-mails. Trump failed to declassify enough information quickly enough. On and on. Trump failed. It's that simple. His campaign can't even send an e-mail because he failed to realize that he needed to not use leftist tech firms. He failed to switch platforms away from Twitter.

Trump simply failed. He had the right ideas, but his followthrough was horrible.

It was MAGA who broke into the Capitol, beat the police with American flags, desecrated our national history. They admitted it, they took selfies and videos of themselves in the act of insurrection, in damaging the Capitol which belongs to ALL the people, not just the aggrieved MAGAs, the white supremacists, Christian nationalists, militias, American Firsters who keep themselves in a perpetual frenzy of feigned persecution. Trump and !Patriots! own this mess.

White Christian Nationalists Want More Than Just Political Power

And Washington, D.C., looms large in their struggle.

original.jpg

At the siege, the presence of white conservative Christians was unmistakable. The Proud Boys stopped to pray to Jesus on their march toward the Capitol, and the crowd held signs proclaiming jesus saves and god’s word calls them out. One flag read jesus is my savior. trump is my president. In the Capitol, an insurgent stopped to pray outside a room where Senator Mitch McConnell’s staffers hid behind barricaded doors. She asked God for “the evil of Congress to be brought to an end.”

. . . .

Some Christian nationalists believe that Christians should welcome persecution and the loss of political power, as did one leader of a conservative Christian nonprofit I met on a tour. “If we end up as a minority group without the power we once had, we will be stronger for it. We have to rejoice that a family member is chosen to die,” he said. “We are suffering for Christ.”

But white Christian nationalism also unites nostalgia for a lost age of Christian power with a profound sense of victimization, and it baptizes death as a heroic sacrifice for the nation. No one should underestimate how dangerous this combination is, particularly among those who decide that their faith requires them to retake their nation.

Do you support the arrest and conviction of those who committed a crime on January 6?

If they committed a crime, yes.

And so therefore we should villainize the whole for the actions of a few?

Anyone who surged past the police should be villainized. Anyone who egged on others to violence even if they did no violence themselves should be villainized. Anyone who represented white supremacy, who lied about non-existent election fraud and lied about Trump winning the presidency, who called for Pence to be hung, who amplified on social media calls for violence... they may not have committed a crime themselves, but if they approved of the crimes of others, they should be villainized. Some of them (by probably not nearly enough of them) understand by now that they're a national embarrassment and that millions of people are disgusted by their behavior.

annabananahead appears to think that believing in white supremacy should be a crime. She appears to think that believing that the election was fraudulent should be a crime.

Nope. You're wrong on every count. Watch the video from my post. It plainly shows antifa doing both the incitement and doing the break ins. Take a look at their organization. This they taught themselves to do by copying the protestors in ong Kong. They were observed doing that by a war correspondent named Michael Yon who has been investigating them for a year or more both here and overseas. He even sat in antifa's red house in Portland, Or. and drank their coffee with them. They weren't smart enough to detect him. And he exposed their actions on January the 6th by being outside the Capitol building and videoing them as they set up to do their agitation and deception.

Wouldn't it be very satisfying to be on the side of truth rather than on the side of deception all the time?

Poor anna must be in middle stages of alzheimers if she can't remember all the times the Democrats have protested elections. It's the first time I can recall her calling for the arrest and prosecution of Democrats.

You're finally showing some indication of integrity and good judgment, anna. (y)
