Vaccination progress

Everybody knows this. Neither are seat belts. Nor are antibiotics. What's your point?
I think his point was really about anybody who does not share his politics and particular Christian faith is retarded.
I'm getting used to the muck slinging .... slowly, but there is no other forum anywhere that I have ever visited that supports such insults.

You have repeatedly stated that "the virus was over months ago". You haven't once presented evidence that this is true.
Oh, is that what you're worried about. :chuckle:

Feel free to just ignore me.

You feel free to keep living your life like the next minute might be your last if your mask slips. :idunno:

We know, but our deaths have reduced right down and our hospital admissions have fallen away.
And I'm not retarded, but I have fears about you, for sure.
The number of deaths peaked and then began falling. Vaccines did not cause that. Masks and shutdowns did not cause that. Biological facts caused that. Human efforts to stop the normal progression of the virus have made little, though some, difference.

Sinners who turn from their sins to God for forgiveness can get help from God to overcome blindness and ignorance. Those who love their sin too much to turn to God are fools and susceptible to deception.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

What, like your wisdom and your instruction?

Even if I am wrong you do not prove I am wrong. Are deaths falling due to masks, shutdowns and vaccines, or are deaths falling for other reasons? Science has not proven anything yet.

I'm not interested in proving anything to you. 3 months ago we were in deep trouble with overpressed hospitals .... And then we all started to take the vaccinations ..... And then the hospital intake started to fall and the daily death rate fell. Now our deaths have fallen by 92% since January and we are still waiting for the 2nd jabs.

Who cares what you think?

I will receive my second dosage of the MODERNA vaccine on 4/23. Even though I may end up sick the following day, again, I am just grateful that I am getting it months earlier than previously projected.

IMO, those who refuse for petty reasons continue to put others at risk and should be banned from schools and businesses.

That sounds a lot like authoritarianism.

Sorry, but you don't have the right to infringe upon my freedom, nor can you take away my right to live.

And yet super-spreader anti-maskers feel they have the right to infringe on the health of others.
BTW, a business or school refusing to serve those who do not comply to their rules does not infringe on your rights.

And yet super-spreader

How do you know if someone is a spreader, let alone a "super-spreader" if they aren't showing symptoms? You're going to prevent everyone from going about their daily lives just because you're afraid?

anti-maskers feel they have the right to infringe on the health of others.

When has it ever mattered if someone was sick or not when it comes to allowing people into a business?

No one cared up until now, because it wasn't that big of a deal.

The responsible thing to do, and the way we have done it for the past 200 years or so, is, if a person is sick, they should self-quarantine.

The irresponsible thing to do is, to lock down an entire nation over fears of a virus that is only slightly more deadly than the common flu and has a survival rate of 95+%.

Also, the masks don't prevent the spread of viruses anyways.

Perhaps you've heard the analogy, but it's like throwing sand at a chain-link fence. Some if it may be stopped, but the majority of it passes right through it.

Masks are USELESS against viruses.

Therefore, there is literally no harm in not wearing one.

BTW, a business or school refusing to serve those who do not comply to their rules does not infringe on your rights.

An individual business disallowing people onto their property is one thing.

What you said:

IMO, those who refuse for petty reasons continue to put others at risk and should be banned from schools and businesses.

Seems to imply that there should be a universal ban on people from going about their daily lives.

Is that not what you meant?

Nope. Punishment should be reserved for those who refuse to protect their neighbor via masks, social distancing and vaccination until such a time that the CV is no longer running rampant.

I'm not much in favour of jab passports Rusha .
Some people are very frightened about jabs because of past reactions with others. My wife has had horrible reactions to the flu virus but in her case she decided to take the AZ jab and fortunately only had a tiny rash and headache for one day, but others are worried. I am waiting for a nasty operation in connection with a blood clot in a kidney but decided to have the AZ jab anyway. But others surely have the right to decide against the jab without losing freedoms and rights.

And in any case, if we do get passports then the whole lot will be redundant in a few months when covid evolves yet again to a resistant strain.

MASKS DON'T WORK against viruses, Rusha.

social distancing

The aerosolized virus "can remain suspended in the air over long distances (usually greater than 6 feet) and time (typically hours)." (CDC website)

In other words, social distancing means and does absolutely nothing.

and vaccination until such a time that the CV is no longer running rampant.

I don't feel like being a guinea pig for a vaccine that has hardly gone through any thorough and rigorous testing.

Also, if I don't want to get vaccinated at all, that's my business, not yours or anyone else's.

Masks help- they are not 100%, but they help. Slowing down the spread of this virus help control it. Masks don't hurt businesses or people- what's the big deal?
Vaccines work. Remember Smallpox? Polio?

No, they don't Chair. AT BEST, they stop a few individual viruses, out of the many MILLIONS that get through the mask.

Slowing down the spread of this virus help control it.

Except that it doesn't slow down viruses at all.

Masks don't hurt businesses or people- what's the big deal?

I'm not willing to give up my freedoms over fear of a virus.

Vaccines work. Remember Smallpox? Polio?

Where did I ever say vaccines DON'T work?

I said I'm not willing to be a guinea pig for a vaccine that hasn't been thoroughly and rigorously tested before being given to people. The current vaccines for the covid are NOT.

I couldn’t care less if people wear masks or social distance as long as they are prohibited from schools and businesses that actually care enough about their fellow human beings to follow the necessary standards of safety.
