Historians rank Trump among worst presidents in US history

They don't claim to be "presidential." They are historians who study presidencies. Do you understand the difference?
They might "study" presidencies, but they are giving an opinion based on what they would have wanted the presidents to do. Considering many of today's historians are products of today's universities, and today's universities are far and away populated by lefties who vote overwhelmingly democrat.

If you are going to compare Trump's presidency to that of Washington or Lincoln, the only valid comparison that could be made is after 222 years and 156 years respectively.

It's hilarious that Trump is accused of being racist yet FDR imprisoned over 100K American citizens without any due process simply because of their ethnicity. The is literally the definition of racism. Even FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, who was no progressive by any means, believed the internment of Japanese-Americans was unnecessary and pointless. These American citizens lot their jobs, their homes, their property. I grew up i n town with many Japanese and met several people who were interned including my dad's boss and my 11th grade U.S. History teacher.

It's not either/or. They can both be racist.

Agree with you re: FDR, extending also to the treatment of Jewish refugees fleeing Hitler.

It was the South that seceded from the Union (not the other way around), and it was the South that attacked Fort Sumter, which ignited the Civil War.

Translation: 'Whether the Confederacy was a good thing or a bad thing is certainly a valid question."
I don’t disagree with any of that, I’m just saying that fighting to keep the states together is still fighting, which is generally not unifying. A forced unification is not the type of unity the founders had in mind.

The fallout from Trump's deranged leadership of the Republican Party continues:

Several high-ranking county GOP officials have resigned after pressure from a group of outspoken critics questioning their leadership.

Greenville County Republican Party's Chairman Jennifer Black, First Vice Chairman Stacy Shea and Executive Committeeman Randy Page released a statement announcing their departures on Thursday:

"Continual lawsuits, threats of lawsuits, intimidation, threats, bullying, disenfranchisement, and character assassination, as promised by the leadership of mySCGOP.com and the Greenville Tea Party do not advance anything positive, much less promote any level of political discourse or change. The tone of the leadership of these entities is clearly destructive to the tenets of the Republican Party, and we will not be a part of it."

You'd think something like that would be self-evident.

From what I understand most presidential historians consider Woodrow Wilson to be a top tier president.
So much for my attention span regarding the opinions of "Historians".

So you are saying that Trump is replacing the legacy, deranged leadership with new and improved deranged leadership?

🤣

I don't follow the Trump story very closely anymore, but I find that I really like Abbott, I really like DeSantis, I really like Crenshaw, I really like Stefanik, etc.

And God help me, I really like Tulsi 🙂

I would be happy to get someone more stable than Trump, but I think his instability allowed him to do some good things others would be hesitant to do. Abbott has shown some promise, but only after a slow start. DeSantis looks better imo, but I'm not sure where he stands on abortion. I do prefer those that have been governors or solid businessmen instead of just congressmen or senators (2 recent, obvious examples come to mind on how much damage they can do, despite one being #10).

I'll be in the show, I suppose. You just get to observe and tremble.
I'm already observing and trembling...with laughter as I watch election audits turn up no evidence of widespread voter fraud, as numbers of registered Republicans decline while the population increases, as QAnon and others anticipate Trump's "reinstatement" to the presidency, as Trump's kraken lawyers get successfully sued by Dominion for their defamation, etc, etc, etc.... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I've moved on from Trump. The only coverage I see of him is the obsessive posters here on TOL like UN and others who just can't let him go.

It would be nice if they would eventually pay some attention to the current train wreck of a president.

Meanwhile you're totally ignoring the current senile president and the disasters he is visiting upon this nation.

Dude - get over Trump. Get over the republicans. Live in the now.

No thanks, this is just too funny! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

And good luck getting the Republican Party to "get over Trump." Last I checked, a significant percentage of them are expecting Trump to become President again some time in August! Just ask Mike Lindell!
