What does it mean to "be in Christ"?

The KJV of the bible leaves out the "only" from Eph 4:5.
The word ONE means ONE and only one.
Good thing too, as I know of at least 5 baptisms spoken of in the bible.
Heb 6 speaks of baptism in the plural too.
There are many baptisms in the Bible, but only ONE applies to the body of Christ.
Paul mentions two NT baptisms in Acts 19.
Irrelevant.
Three if you count John's baptism unto repentance from sin
Irrelevant.
If I really wanted to bypass remission of sins, and the washing by the blood of Christ, and the justification and sanctification of my vessel, the killing of the old man and being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life, and the circumcision made without hands, I might consider joining in your doctrines.
I don't have "my doctrines", I stick to what the Bible says. Paul says that there is ONE baptism for the body of Christ and it has nothing to do with water.
Strange that you don't consider every convert as a member of the body of Christ.
I would think it would be the folks who have forgone their "immersion" into Christ as the ones not in Christ.
I am "immersed into" Christ without any water being involved. You think that you're a religious Jew/Christian.
So according to you, the twelve at Ephesus, who received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the hand of Paul, are not in the body of Christ?
I just can't agree.
They were most likely not part of the body of Christ, but part of what came before.

The word ONE means ONE and only one.
I agree, one baptism delivered by God, to those who turn from sin and are water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins.
It is called the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Peter spoke of it in Acts 2:38.
There are many baptisms in the Bible, but only ONE applies to the body of Christ.
Irrelevant.
Irrelevant.
You are denying the facts.

The term "in Christ" has to do with a relationship. There is more than one type of relationship that people can have with Christ depending on how God is dealing with them at the time.

This article explains this very well: https://graceambassadors.com/midacts/in-christ-before-paul

P.S. It should be noted that the term "in Christ" appears 78 times in scripture and 75 of those are in Paul's epistles!
The term "in Christ" refers to our "immersion" into Him.

By the Spirit.... no water.

You're trying to be a Jew. You should join the body of Christ.
It is called the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Peter spoke of it in Acts 2:38.
Peter was speaking to the people of Israel, of which you have no part.

Acts 2:22 (AKJV/PCE)
(2:22) Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

You're an Israelite wannabe.
You are denying the facts.
Oh quite the contrary, that would be you.

By the Spirit.... no water.
One baptism is by the Spirit, and of God, another is done by men, and is also of God.
You're trying to be a Jew. You should join the body of Christ.
He is as a Jew, and I want to be just like Him so I will be as He is when He returns.

As I believe in the God that made heaven and earth, and separated a people unto Himself, it would be my honor to be included in Peter's massage to the Jews.
By your logic, though, Peter is denying the message of salvation to all the visitors in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
Are they as excluded from the words of life as you want to be?
You're an Israelite wannabe.
I am just like Israelite converts.
Free of the bondage of sin, and awaiting the return of my Lord Jesus Christ with his flaming angels.
Oh quite the contrary, that would be you.
Will there be any liars, murderers, or thieves, in the book of life on the last day?

But only ONE applies to the body of Christ. Really.... you should join us.
He is as a Jew, and I want to be just like Him so I will be as He is when He returns.
No, he was not "as a Jew"... He was a Jew. The King of Israel.
As I believe in the God that made heaven and earth, and separated a people unto Himself, it would be my honor to be included in Peter's massage to the Jews.
That is just confusion compounded.
By your logic, though, Peter is denying the message of salvation to all the visitors in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
Peter was preaching the kingdom of Israel to Israel. It's not hard to understand unless you have blinders on.
Are they as excluded from the words of life as you want to be?
Stop lying... it's a sin.
I am just like Israelite converts.
No, you're not.

No thanks.
Your group seems too anti-Semitic for me.
Too divisive.
I will continue to walk in God, who is the light, and in His Son who was born of a Jewish mother.
No, he was not "as a Jew"... He was a Jew. The King of Israel.

That's too bad. The body of Christ is what God is doing today.

You are a liar. It is YOU that is the anti-Semite. I know that Israel will be restored to their place as the nation above the nations. You deny that.
Too divisive.
Christ was divisive. He divided the wheat from the chaff.

Luke 12:51 (AKJV/PCE)
(12:51) Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

I will continue to walk in God, who is the light, and in His Son who was born of a Jewish mother.
That makes Him a Jew, you silly person.

You need to learn that WE in the BODY OF CHRIST do NOT know Him that way.

2Cor 5:16 (AKJV/PCE)
(5:16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more.

That's not what Paul says. You should try to agree with scripture instead of having your own myth.
Paul was a Jew.
In the body of Christ though, for the purpose of salvation, gender, nationalities, and races, don't matter.
It is written..."But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people." (Acts 21:39)
And..."I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day." (Acts 22:3)

Paul was a Jew.
That's irrelevant (like much of what you say). Paul was/is the apostle of the gentiles. Rom 11:13

Duh. Please try to QUOTE me saying otherwise.

Do you know who "the people" are?
And..."I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day." (Acts 22:3)
Again, that is completely irrelevant. You make it more clear with each post that you not a member of Christ's body. You should join before it's too late.

I am glad He included the Israeli, and the Irish, in the body of His Son.
You are a liar.
Isn't that comment against the rules?

Agreed, and so is everyone "in Him".

Agreed, but it is no reason not to acknowledge someone's residence.
In fact, all of us who walk in/after the Spirit know nothing from an earthly perspective anymore.

Calling a liar a liar? Of course not. It's encouraged.

Their King. You're not an Israelite.
Does He divide Jewish believers from Ethiopian believers?
No clue what you're talking about.
Agreed, and so is everyone "in Him".
There are different ways to be "in Him" depending on what God is doing at the time and with whom.
Agreed, but it is no reason not to acknowledge someone's residence.
In fact, all of us who walk in/after the Spirit know nothing from an earthly perspective anymore.
Until you learn to rightly divide, you will continue wallow in your own confusion.
