The work was created as a memorial to unborn children, Schmalz said he wanted to transform the absence into something visible. Every human life is created by God, known by Him and worthy of love and protection from its conception. That is what makes the empty cradle so heartbreaking. It represents a child who will never be seen growing up. Here, the message is simple: an empty cradle, a grieving angel and a life remembered before the world ever knew it.

Maybe it was those angels that were bringing a report to God about the atrocities being committed in Sodom, such that God had to personally go down and find out how bad it was.

Well, I'd agree that this point means they wouldn't be arbitrarily condemned to Hell as many Calvinists believe, but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say that their permanent residency in Heaven is something that they are entitled to or even that such is guaranteed. That would make their heavily destiny just as arbitrary. It certainly goes beyond any biblical principle or statement to make such a claim.

It seems reasonable to expect that these children are raised to maturity and then are permitted to make their own choice as to whether they desire to remain. Of course, it seems intuitive that the overwhelming majority would choose to remain but that's not quite the same thing as saying that their eternal destiny is guaranteed. I would not have expected a third of the angels to rebel against God and yet that's just what happened and they weren't saddled with a fallen nature that they had inherited from their forefathers.

With that in view, I'd say that "entitled" over states their situation.
