Proclaims that Everlasting Righteousness !

Proclaims that Everlasting Righteousness !

Dan 9:24

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness[B/], and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

This Everlasting Righteousness is that Righteousness Christ Accomplished and makes accounted to all for whom He died. Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Before one can believe the Gospel in Gospel conversion, it must be shined into their heart by the power of God. 2 Cor 4:5-6

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined[give light] in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face[Person] of Jesus Christ.

We cannot believe without knowledge, and this Knowledge is shined into our hearts Paul says.

This Knowledge is not not natural but spiritual, its Spiritual Light, and so the Heart its being shined in is a New Heart given in New Birth.

The Natural Heart is Evil and Wicked Jer 17:9

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jn 3:19

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

The natural evil heart is not a fit receptacle for Heavenly Spiritual Light. Its like putting New Wine into old bottles Matt 9:17

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

God in regeneration gives the New Heart in Preparation of Gospel Light Ezk 36:26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

That New Heart receives Spiritual Light of the Gospel and bears fruit Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Its then when this Knowledge of the Person of Christ is shined into our Heart, that we Believe with the Heart as described Rom 10:9-10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The Heart here is that Heart Given by God in regeneration and which He shines into it the Knowledge of Christ 2 Cor 4:5-6

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The Glory of God in Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Preaching the Gospel of God's Grace, it reigns !

Preaching the Gospel of God's Grace, it reigns !

Acts 20:24

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Rom 5:21

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

That's what Jesus Christ's Death is all about, causing Grace to reign unto Eternal Life through Christ, meaning through the accomplishment of His Person and Work.

To Preach the Gospel of God's Grace is to Preach that Grace does reign in Salvation. The word reign is the greek word basileuō and means:

to be king, to exercise kingly power, to reign, metaph. to exercise the highest influence, to control.

First lets dispel the false teaching of Grace being offered for salvation, or made available for salvation, no scripture teaches that and its as ridiculous as saying death is offered to all men or made available to all men. For Grace as Death is Sovereign in its administration, and yet Grace more so than death, because it gives Life where death had once ruled. The Life that Grace gives is of a much Higher Quality than that death overtook. Death did reign through adam, But Grace reigns through Righteousness, through the Righteousness of Christ's Obedience Rom 5:18

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

This Righteousness of the One Christ takes into account His Life Obedience and Substitutionary Death unto the Law and Justice of God for all He Represented, and it reigns unto Justification of Life.

Now as to its Reign lets trace it to its commencement of Reigning, #1. Grace Reigns in our Eternal Election, for by it, Grace was Given the Elect in Christ Jesus before the World Began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose[of Election] and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

This is God's Purpose of Election Rom 9:11

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

Rom 11:5-6

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

#2 Grace Reigns in Christ's Redemptive Death, for it brought Him here to die for the Election of Grace 2 Cor 8:9

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Titus 2:11

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Heb 2:9

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:[Justified solely upon His Death]

#3 Grace Reigns in Our New Birth Titus 3:5

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy or Grace he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

The Same thing is described as being Saved by Grace Eph 2:5

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved )

#4 Grace Reigns in Believing on Christ Acts 18:27

27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

Zech 12:10

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look[in Faith] upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Grace Reigns in all these blessed things unto Eternal Life , beginning in Eternity Past, before the World Began.

ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of salvation.

ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of salvation.

Eph 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Jn 18:37

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Hearing the Gospel of your salvation. When we read Eph 1:13 most commonly what comes to our mind ? What kind of hearing do we suppose this to be ? Almost to a man, those reading this verse think Paul is speaking about hearing the physical, natural ear, that organ on the side of our head; However that is not the type of hearing Paul means; In fact the hearing meant here, even a physically deaf person can hear it if its the Gospel of their Salvation being communicated to them, for its a Spiritual Hearing given by New Birth or being born of God or of the Spirit, all the same thing. Unless we are of God [Born of God] Jesus says we cannot hear God's Words which the Gospel is, the Gospel of God Rom 1:1. Read what Jesus says Jn 8:41,47

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

When Hearing God's Word, and the Gospel is going to be a positive conversion experience, its heard and understood Matt 15:10

10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

And this we cannot do with mere natural physical hearing. The Spiritually hearing Ear [with Understanding] must be given of God Prov 20:12

12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them.

The Type of hearing in Eph 1:13, is that which hears and understands and bears fruit, Faith, Joy and Peace in Believing. So those Hearing the Gospel of their Salvation in Eph 1:13 are saved, regenerated or born again ones, for they hear the Truth, Jesus says "Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice'.

Preaching the Gospel of Election and Predestination !

Preaching the Gospel of Election and Predestination !

That Election and Predestination are both Gospel Truths is proven by Paul's letter to the Ephesians, the very first Chapter. In Vs 13 Eph 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Paul states that they had become believers after that they heard[spiritual hearing] the word of Truth. Now what was the word of Truth ? It was Vs 3-11 Eph 1:3-11

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

These verses state some of the Word of Truth of the Gospel. In Vs 4 we have Election in Christ before the foundation of the world Vs we have predestinated to the adoption of Sons through Jesus Christ, Vs 6 being accepted in the Beloved to the Praise of God's Grace. Vs 7 Redemption and forgiveness through His Blood.

All that's Good News of ones Salvation by the Grace of God.

There is not a doubt that Election of Grace Rom 11:5 is a foundational Gospel of God's Grace Doctrine Acts 20:24

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

And if we believe it, we should also believe in the doctrine of reprobation, for by it God's Grace in Election shines the brighter. It is as in God's Eternal Purpose in Christ, He chose some to have mercy on, The Vessels of Mercy Rom 9:23 ; Rom 11:32 for their sins through Jesus Christ, God also did choose not to have mercy on the rest of mankind and in stead chooses to deal with them in strict Justice or their sins, hence they're the vessels of wrath Rom 9:22; Job 21:30

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

Prov 16:4

4 The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil [wrath]..

In the decree of reprobation, God Sovereignly determined not to charge their sins of the non elect to Christ for Him to be their Surety as He did with the Elect, whom He chose in Christ before the foundation Eph 1:4. Instead they are the ones who instead of the elect, are appointed to wrath and everlasting contempt 1 Thess 5:9

9 For God hath not appointed us[The Chosen] to wrath [as He did the Vessels of wrath], but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Dan 12:2

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And this according to His own purpose, for their sins; to the Praise of is Glorious Justice, and their condemnation is Just, because its for their sins.

The Gospel of the Kingdom

The Gospel of the Kingdom

Matt 24:14

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

This Gospel of the Kingdom, before it can be received as to salvation, one must first be already a living citizen of that Kingdom by this Col 1:13-14

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

This Translation is New Birth, with New Nature, New Life from the Holy Ghost. For the Kingdom of God is Rom 14:17

17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

That describes New Birth.

That's the only way we can enter into it Jn 3:3-8

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

When we are born again we are in the Spirit Rom 8:9

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

If the Spirit dwells in us, then the Kingdom is in us and we in it Lk 17:21

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

It is then we can hear, and understand, and receive the Gospel of the Kingdom !

A Spiritual Message.

A Spiritual Message.

1Cor 2:10-15

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

What many of the religionists of our day deny and or do not understand about the Gospel Of Christ, is that its s Spiritual Message, its not a message fitted for the carnal minded or the mind of the flesh such as Rom 8:7-8

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The Law of God in Vs 7 is not just speaking of the Moral Law, but it also pertains to the Gospel.

The word law here is the greek word nomos:

anything established, anything received by usage, a custom, a law, a command

a) of any law whatsoever

1) a law or rule producing a state approved of God

a) by the observance of which is approved of God

2) a precept or injunction

3) the rule of action prescribed by reason

b) of the Mosaic law, and referring, acc. to the context. either to the volume of the law or to its contents

c) the Christian religion: the law demanding faith, the moral instruction given by Christ, esp. the precept concerning love

d) the name of the more important part (the Pentateuch), is put for the entire collection of the sacred books of the OT

Believing the Gospel is a Commandment. Peter is speaking of the Gospel here 2 Pet 2:21

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

This Holy Commandment delivered is the Gospel. Paul said 1 Cor 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

That the Gospel is the Holy Commandment can be seen from the Commandment given to Believe on the 1 Jn 3:23

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

Now, the carnal mind is not subject to the Law or Commandment of God, which is what the Gospel Message is to those who are spiritually prepared to hear and obey it.

In Salvation the Gospel is to be Obeyed Rom 6:17

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine[Gospel] which was delivered you.

Rom 10:16

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

That's because they all were not spiritual, but carnal and could not obey the Gospel, in fact it is foolishness to them.

The Gospel Message is a Spiritual, Holy Message and can only be submitted to by a Holy Spiritual People.

Anyone claiming to obey the Gospel while in an unregenerate state is deceived.

A Spiritual Message. 2

A Spiritual Message. 2

Now,another reason to know that the Gospel is a Spiritual Message, Because its about Christ who is Spiritual , He is the Wisdom Of God 1 Cor 1:24

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Col 2:2-3

2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

God's Mystery which is Christ, which Mystery is Spiritual Col 1:27-28

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

1 Cor 2:1-7

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

Which Testimony is Spiritual and its the Gospel of their Salvation.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery[The Gospel of Christ], even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

The Gospel is that Spiritual things Paul refers to here 1 Cor 9:11

11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

We know by this context that the Spiritual things are the Gospel mainly 1 Cor 9:12-16

12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Now who wants to debate that the sowing of Spiritual things here is not the Gospel ???

Preaching the Gospel and sowing are relatively the same as Illustrated in Matt 13:18 ,

So again, the Gospel is a Spiritual Message to a Spiritual People informing them in the realm of the Spirit, of their Salvation in Christ, who is Spiritual.

Paul indicates that the Gospel is not a message for the Natural man here 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That same word foolishness is used to describe how the Gospel of the Cross is viewed by those perishing or in a lost state 1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Now all men as natural men in the flesh are in a lost perishing state by nature, so the preaching of the cross to us while in that state is foolishness, the same as in 1 Cor 2:14, they collaborate one another.

Also if we read 1 Cor 2:2-13 that context is about the Gospel they speak.

Anyone who believes and teach that the natural man can receive or believe the Gospel in a matter of conversion are deceived and deceiving others, they have no scripture support for that.

It converts only when it is Life unto Life 2 Cor 2:16

16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

The Gospel when it is preached to them that have life [spiritual] it brings that life to light 2 Tim 1:10

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

And its Life to those who have been ordained to Eternal Life Acts 13:48.

No Election, No Grace Preaching !

No Election, No Grace Preaching !

We do fail to preach the Gospel of God's Grace Acts 20:24, if we omit to include therein, the biblically revealed fact that Grace was given to the Chosen in Christ in the Purpose of God before time began 2 Tim 1:9; They were Chosen in Christ Eph 1:4, given to Christ before the foundation, therefore they are the Chosen of Grace Rom 11:5

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

That's why Election is a Gospel Doctrine if we preach Salvation by Grace. It [Election of Grace] cannot be disjoined from Grace, Hence the Gospel of the Grace of God Acts 20:24

24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

1 Cor 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, speaks of limited and particular atonement !. Now notice Paul says that His Death was for our sins according to scriptures, OT scripture, Prophecy. Paul says that the Gospel He testifies to is what the OT Prophets did testify about Christ's Death Acts 26:22-23

22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Now one of the Prophets states it quite clear who Christ the Servant of Jehovah shall die for here Isa 53:6-8

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

So Isa 53:8 makes it plain who He was stricken in behalf of ! ow some may argue that Isiah means here the jews as his people, but even if he did,his people still was only one particular covenant people Israel.

Again, It was for the Transgressions of My People [ The Father speaking].Now who are His People ? Rom 11:2

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,

His People are all those He foreknew Rom 8:29-32

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Also look at the phrase " us all " Vs 32 and compare with "us all" in Isa 53:6

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

So Yes they are the same People, The foreknown Elect of God. That's who it is Paul refers to in 1 Cor 15:3 as died for Our Sins !

This is confirmed also here in Acts 18:8-11

8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak/preach, and hold not thy peace:

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

Paul's Gospel Preaching was commanded by the Lord in Corinth and here is why Vs 10

10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people/my people in this city.

God had many in that city that He called My People, to match with Isa 53:8

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

So to teach that Jesus Christ died for all mankind without exception is contrary to scripture, its a false gospel in fact.

Now faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the Word of God Rom 10:17. However if we came to believe by hearing that Christ died for all men without exception, that's not the Word of God, because that's not the Truth, hence, that would not be True Faith as described in Rom 10:17

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Gospel of ones Salvation is a spiritual message which requires spiritual hearing and seeing, and it brings to light Spiritual Life that has been given by New Birth 2 Tim 2:10

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

The word light here means: to bring to light, render evident,to cause something to exist and thus come to light and become clear to all

And such a spiritual message or communication can be received and understood by a spiritual mind opposed to one of the flesh Rom 8:5-6

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

They that are of the flesh can and do only mind the things of the flesh, that counts for all the unregenerate !

But they that are after the Spirit [New Birth], do mind the things of the Spirit. Like here 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You see a carnal mind is the only type mind an unregenerate person can have, and so they never have the right disposition of heart to receive and embrace the Spiritual Light of the Gospel [2 Cor 4:4],for that light is foolishness to him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Its a sent message !

Its a sent message !

The Gospel or Word of Salvation when it comes to being the good news of your Salvation as Per Eph 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

In this regard, it is sent to the saved as a word of Salvation as Per Acts 13:26

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

The word sent here is the greek word apostellō:

) to order (one) to go to a place appointed

2) to send away, dismiss

a) to allow one to depart, that he may be in a state of liberty

b) to order one to depart, send off

c) to drive away

It means "to send on service, or with a commission."

As in here Isa 55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The Gospel being sent as a word of Salvation is not sent out to attempt to win the Lost, but to inform them who have been Saved by the Work of Christ of their Salvation through Him, also by it, God seeks to make disciples of them already spiritually alive.

That's why Jesus said when sending out His Messengers for His Redemptive Purpose, says to them Matt 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

That word teach mathēteuō:

to be a disciple of one

a) to follow his precepts and instructions

2) to make a disciple

a) to teach, instruct

They were already spiritually saved, They were being sent to disciple them, to instruct them, to feed them, but not to try to get them saved as if they were Lost. The Gospel is hid to them that are Lost 2 Cor 4:3, So Jesus is not telling them [His Apostles] to go out and teach and disciple lost People !

Their Ministry was for the Body of Christ, not lost people Eph 4:10-13

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Its for the Saints. They were now to be taught and instructed in the things of God, which the Gospel is a feast of !

They could not teach and instruct spiritually dead people, but they were alive and ready to be fed and edified, built up in the faith of the Gospel, Like the Ethiopian Eunech.

Preaching the Gospel to the spiritually saved is feeding Christ's Sheep, Yes those Sheep who Jesus promised they shall believe through their word Jn 17:20

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Those who shall hear His voice through their preaching Jn 10:16

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

It is those " that shall hear His Voice" that the Gospel of Salvation is sent to, and they will hear it:

Acts 28:28

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

This cannot be refuted !

The word of life !

The word of life !

Phil 2:16

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Jn 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The Gospel is to some Life unto Life 2 Cor 2:15-16

15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

Life must be already communicated before we receive the Word of Life. The word of Life brings to light spiritual life 2 Tim 1:9-10

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Hence its Life unto Life. Remember Jesus says Jn 6:63

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The Gospel is a Spiritual Message and cannot be received by nonspiritual people, who have not been born of the Spirit.

Jn 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

1 Cor 2:12-14

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the[spiritual] things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things are the Gospel and it's spiritual doctrines, the words of Christ, which are spirit and life Jn 6:63.

Gospel Obedience !

Gospel Obedience !

Rom 10:16

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

The word obeyed is the greek word hypakouō:

to listen, to harken

a) of one who on the knock at the door comes to listen who it is, (the duty of a porter)

2) to harken to a command

a) to obey, be obedient to, submit to

Paul wrote earlier this Rom 8:7-8

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The word law in Vs 7 does not mean specifically the Law of God because it lacks the definite article, but it would not exclude the Law of God as in the mosaic law, but the word nomos means:

anything established, anything received by usage, a custom, a law, a command

a) of any law whatsoever

And the Gospel Obedience falls into that category because the word obey for obey the Gospel Rom 10:16 means:to harken to a command

And Paul says the carnal mind is not subject to the Law or Command of God, and that it CANNOT BE !

Both the Law and Gospel are Spiritual, and all men by nature are carnal Rom 7:14

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Now here Paul is specifically speaking of the Law because in the greek the word Law is preceded by the definite article:

οἴδαμεν γὰρ ὅτι ὁ νόμος πνευματικός ἐστιν: ἐγὼ δὲ σάρκινός εἰμι, πεπραμένος ὑπὸ τὴν ἁμαρτίαν.

Now go figure, if the Law is Spiritual, what say that about the Gospel which comes from the ministration of the Spirit 2 Cor 3:6-8

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

The ministration of the Spirit here is the Glorious Gospel !

Now, Gospel obedience[Rom 10:16] is only possible to those who have a New Nature by New Birth, because by Nature, the Elect even, have only a nature that is in control of the devil, the prince of the power of the air Eph 2:2-3

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

And as such the elect and the non elect are in a continual state of disobedience [lost]

In that state by nature we are in wiful unbelief !

In that nature Gospel Obedience is IMPOSSIBLE ! For in it we are in a spiritual dead state of disobedience, possessed by the spirit of the devil. In this state all men are lost and so then the Gospel is being hid from them 2 Cor 4:3-4

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Hence why some do not obey the Gospel Rom 10:16 !

If any say that a lost man, who is walking according to the prince of this world, possessed by that Spirit [satan] who is now working in the children of disobedience, if any say that lost man can savingly believe the Gospel in that state, then credit that man with saving himself out of a lost state of disobedience and obey the Gospel.

That person has become their own Saviour, they did not need the Redemption of Christ to save them out of a spiritually dead state. That's the only alternative to conclude if they did not need to be born anew to obey the Gospel !

When it comes to Preaching the Gospel, the Love of God has it's foundational place, John 3:16, however its founded on His Election or Choosing a People Deut 7:6-7

6 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

Hence, those God Loves are a special Chosen People, special above all other People in the world on the Earth !

Its the same Electing Love of God as here Eph 1:4-5

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

And that its discriminating is seen again Rom 9:11-13

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

It the Love of God that is centered in the Elect Head of the Election, the Lord Jesus Christ Isa 42:1

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

That's Him here also Rom 8:39

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the greek it reads " The Love of God" with the definite, so its God's exclusive Love, no Love of God for any creature outside of Christ, jew or gentile.

And Election is a key Truth that keeps the True Believer root and grounded in God's Love Eph 3:17

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Gospel is Power of God to the believing !

Gospel is Power of God to the believing !

Rom 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Gospel is being the power of God to everyone who is believing !

This means, those who believe, then to those was the Gospel being the Power of God; Ones believing does not make the Gospel the Power of God, But the Gospel as the Power of God causes the one to Believe it, to be persuaded by it.

Now to those who hear it and don't believe, its because to them it was not the Power of God, it was delivered to them in word only, as Paul makes mentions here 1Thess 1:5

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

That word power here in 1 Thess 1:5 is the same word Paul used in Rom 1:16 and it is the greek word dynamis:

strength power, ability

a) inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth

b) power for performing miracles

c) moral power and excellence of soul

d) the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth

e) power and resources arising from numbers

f) power consisting in or resting upon armies, forces, hosts

What makes it the Power of God is when its accompanied with the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor 2:4

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them],AMP

In other words, Paul was not dependent on his oratory ability and arguing skills to persuade men of the Gospel, but upon the persuasiveness and ability of the Spirit, and His ability to persuade .

Its by that Power believers believe Eph 1:19

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

Its the Power of God if it effects our believing !

Its the Power of God if it effects our believing !

1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The Gospel or as stated here, " The preaching of the Cross" is unto them [not all without exception] the ones being saved or converted, to them it is being the Power of God.

This is also what Paul means in Rom 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Its only the power of God if and when the hearers are being[By it] converted into believers, and so they believe as an effect of God's Power being exerted by the Gospel persuading them. When one is being saved [passive] by the preaching of the Gospel or the Cross, they are being converted from lies and vanity unto belief and acknowledgment of the Truth .

Gospel Obedience is the evidence of spiritual life and Grace !

Gospel Obedience is the evidence of spiritual life and Grace !

Gospel Faith and Repentance, that which Paul mentions here Acts 20:21

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

They make known or evidence the regenerating Grace of God from the Spirit communicating Life; For instance, its prophesied Zech 12:10

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Now take note to what happens to those God Pours out the Spirit of Grace and Regeneration upon as witnessed also here Titus 3:5-6

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed or poured on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

As a result they looked upon Him they had pierced. The word Look can and does also mean Faith, a look of Faith.

Its the word nabat and it means to look or regard with respect. Its used also here like that Ps 119:6

6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

Its a focused, fixed and very attentive looking.

Its similar also to what Jesus said here Jn 6:40

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

That word seeth in seeth the Son is the word theōreō nd means:

to be a spectator, look at, behold

a) to view attentively, take a view of, survey

1) to view mentally, consider
2) to see

a) to perceive with the eyes, to enjoy the presence of one

b) to discern, descry

c) to ascertain, find out by seeing

In fact, they were seeing the Son, considering Him, Regarding Him, Believing in Him.

And of course it said they shall mourn for Him. That word mourn means wailing, lamentation.

Its a blessed thing when its over Christ, Jesus said Matt 5:4

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

I believe the mourning of Zech 12:10 is Godly Sorrow of Repentance 2 Cor 7:10

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

That word sorrow meaning sorrow, pain, grief, annoyance, affliction

a) of persons mourning

Notice its Godly Sorrow, produced by God the Spirit in them.

So, that's why the Apostles Preached Repentance and Faith so that the working of the Spirit of Grace in them shall be made evident, manifesting New Life !
