Do some of the Scriptural Truths offend you?

    Young Earth or Old?

Called the 'gap' theory if that helps. Nick posted a verse for consideration in another thread: Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

    The Joys of Catholicism

Swept under the rug? Do you even know your own mind? Ya know, if you are the local spokesman for "Roman Catholicism" it isn't looking good presently, right?

Do some of the Scriptural Truths offend you?

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

One assumption from another, baptism was an outward sign of an inner salvation. "Back" in? No.

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

It is much more hairy than straightforward as the RC would lead one to believe. The first churches were not united, many older than the church in Rome and many Coptic and Eastern churches never close enough to fall in with Rome. Truth should always inform your narrative. It means, quite...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

It isn't always mocking. Truth is a good thing. Been there. I appreciate it is meaningful to you. Two aliens from different planets try to share what they experience in Christ... Yep. I was born Catholic. Have a great uncle who is a priest. I was part of the Catholic group for...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

Hope you see goodheartedness behind most comments to you. There is a desire to get you back to you and Christ in a way the rest experience Him day-to-day. Something to keep in mind, you aren't alone, just in your allegiance. Are there many Catholics left on TOL?

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

I've heard this too, but entertain that even when Peter led gentiles to Christ Acts 10, he was first resistant. He understood at Act 10, after a vision, that gentiles 'could' be Christians, but he resisted take Peter, eat. His focus remained Jewish converts. It wasn't until Paul came to...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

Well, assembly is assembly and His is His. Is there a difference? Of course. They are basically trying to say the same thing: You are Cephas. Upon this rock I will build my church. It means people. It started with Peter's sermon. Was it the first church? It was the first of...

Do some of the Scriptural Truths offend you?

Seems okay so far, is the Son different from the Word? Same Being, but "Son" when He is born? John 1:1,3? Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Mat 1:19...

    Climate Change? What Climate Change?

Our earth axis has tilted more toward the sun. 🤔 It isn't the first time. We aren't even tilted as far as we have been in the past (with similar weather conditions). Popular Mechanics thinks it is because we are pumping groundwater :Z

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

Try "Assembly" as one meaning of the word. "Church" is the same, though Jews never adopted the term like we have today. See just above: If we overload the term (and we have) we tend to make the word complicated.

RD is telling you, your indoctrination is speaking loudly and ignoring. It tends to be the first thing on TOL. Please read what I said: It means assembly back then and today. Different assemblies? You are halfway there if you follow.

    The Problem With Prayer

Acts 17:24-28 ESV The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man...
