    Can God lie?

Isn't it amazing what love can do? Instead of killing, we can now forgive and pray for our enemies. Thanks be to God !

He also instituted rebirth from His own seed. No more eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth, etc.

    Can God lie?

Now we are back to OT Laws? I thought Middies were done with the Law of Moses? Where in the NT's post Law guidelines are we ever told to kill anyone?

    Can God lie?

I am "hoping" that I will never give up my belief that God makes it possible to love Him with all my heart, strength, soul, and might. It starts with the the gift of a true repentance from sin.

    Mass Baptism

At Cornelius' place. (Acts 10) BTW, what was "manifested" to Israel was Jesus...not baptism. John 1:29-31..."The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is...

    Can God lie?

I wish you had answered. I see that good intentions may seem righteous, but they all depend on an unknown outcome. Better to remain righteous than to cross your fingers hoping that unrighteousness is the right thing to do.

    Can God lie?

Churches founded on lies? Where have I heard that before? Your hypothetical situation could just as well go this way...Your wife and children abandon you because of your lack of faith and they proceed to become the worst mass-murderers who ever existed. Was the lie still righteous?

    Can God lie?

Great questions. Lying to protect others may seem like a good thing to do in the short run, but in the long run it is disastrous. If sinning were ever the right thing to do, Christians would be shooting from their car windows at everyone who upsets them. So much for homosexual parades...eh...

    Can God lie?

Death came by Adam. Sinning or not, all men's vessels die. I bet they had a conscience too. And were judged accordingly. I wonder where Abe's great faith was on that day? Oh well, his generation was still walking in the flesh. Yeah.

    meaning of Acts 1:5

Nobody else but Paul is mentioned. If you mean believers from Israel, yes ! Which one are you willing to forego? The one done in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins? Or the one given by God to the truly repentant? Actually, you can only refuse the first, but then somehow...

    Can God lie?

Rhetorical questions don't need answers. Perhaps Hab 1:12 can answer your question? "...O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction." God can and will use the wicked for His own purposes. It was a sin that wasn't imputed until God...

    Can God lie?

Agreed, but I think we are straying from...whatever we were discussing. ? Death came by Adam. Even without sinning, people die. Babies for instance. No, but that is kind of a side-track. Interesting conundrum. All men are given a conscience, and God will judge how they acted relative to that...
